Hallo,

When I re-flash the box with "AutoBackup", normally the box installs completely all plugins (EPGRefresh, Autotimmer...) I had before in the box.
In which backup- file is stored, which plugins were installed before?

Excuse my bad English.

Thanks for your help!

Probably on /media/hdd/backup or /media/usb/backup.

Or find it yourself:

root@panoramix:~# find / -name autoinstall
/media/usb/backup/autoinstall
root@panoramix:~#

@Pedro_Newbie

Thank you for the Info.

Now I found the solution. :)

My Problem was, how knows the software which Plugins I used in the old image.

In the backup folder, there is a file named "autoinstall" in this file I found the information.

@catastrofus

Autoinstall is just making a list of installed plugin, then after flashing a new image it tries to download again the plugins from the feed.

So if you install 3rd party plugin downloaded manually by yourself and installed they won't be restored.

If a plugin changes its name (like xmltvimport becoming epgimport) autorestore won't work.

So list which plugins you use and how you install them, if you use plugin from the OpenPLi feed they are restored. If you use .ipk found on the internet, they won't be restored.

If you want use ipk manualy installed, place it on hdd/usb and add patch to /etc/autoinstall

When use then backup, path is added into backup.

Let me explain:

1. Installed OpenPLi 6

2. Installed some plugins from feed

 a) oscam

 B) youtube

 c) busybox-cron

 d)autofs

3. In AutoBackup plugin set option "Create Autoinstall" to yes

4. Create backup

5. No autoinstall file in backup dir

root@osmini:~# ls /media/usb/backup/
PLi-AutoBackup.tar.gz              PLi-AutoBackup7cc70a0627d6.tar.gz
root@osmini:~#

No autoinstall file here as well, after a new flash, so I can confirm this.

Cause found, fix is being tested, if ok, it will be part of the next 6.0-release hotfix build.

When use then backup, path is added into backup.

As far as I know, this file can also be used to remove preinstalled plugins.
My question is what is the syntax to do this?

Thanks

What "file"?

OpenPLi uses opkg for package management, if you mean that. A quick google finds: https://wiki.openwrt...oc/techref/opkg
