Hello,
I have USB DVB-T tuner PCTV NanoStick 290e.
It works very well on my my Xtrend et9500 on image from 07 2015.
I downloaded driver dvb-usb-em28xx(1.0-r0.10) from feed, restarted box and tuner works.
It was still working in 06 2016 and then i stop using it.

Now I want to use it again, but it is'nt working. On my both machines, Xtrend et8000 and Formuler F3 the same problem:
I plug the tuner to the USB, download driver dvb-usb-em28xx (1.0-r0.0) from feed - no errors, restart box,
the light on the tuner starts shine, but it isn't visible in tuner configuration in reciever - it is not detected.

Has anybody solution of this problem?
I read the forum, but i didn't found any (understandable) solution.

It works well here with Dream Multimedia DM7020hd. I use it every day and updating my Dream as well.

DM920UHD DVB-S2X TRIPLE tuner + Triple M.S tuner DVB-S2X, DVB-T2/T, QboxHD, QboxHD Mini, Icecrypt T2300HD,

It could be the dependencies aren't all pulled in - could you log into the box and check with dmesg after reboot if it complains about anything - in that case (and only then), you may have luck following this older post #10 - in essence, if you are logged into the box, "opkg install kernel-module-cxd2820r" and "opkg install kernel-module-tda18271" and then a reboot should do. Remember to configure the tuner to the right type/location.

Thank you very much for your advice. I checked the box with dmesg, and there were errors:
"DVB: unable to find symbol cxd2820r_attach()"
"em28174 frontend initialization failed"

So first I tried to "opkg install kernel-module-cxd2820r" and then I rebooted box.
The tuner is detected now and working well :-) Thanks

I noticed that in signal status there is not displayed value SNR. Values AGC and BER works.
But thats just detail...

Previous post relates to Xtrend et8000. Now I tried it for Formuler F3 but unsuccessfully. I downloaded driver em28xx from feed, restarted box, instaled kernel-module-cxd2820r, restarted and tuner is still not detected. Then I tried to install kernel-module-tda18271, but there is error that it does not exist (for Formuler).

In dmesg there are errors:

- unable to allocate 0 bytes for transfer buffer 0
- em28174 #0: em28xx_dvb: failed to pre-allocate USB transfer buffers for DVB.

Any tips how to solve it?
