This weekend I had a problem with the energy supply (the energy power supplier cut the energy due to bad weather conditions) and my receiver (ET6000) was not powered for a while.

When the energy came the receiver was not booting, only appears the boot screen (and the leds red and green are always on). I can a access the receiver with telnet and the errors are (Crash Log in attachment) :

[fb] /dev/fb0 No such file or directory
<    343.831256> [fb] framebuffer not available
<    343.831317> FATAL: [gFBDC] no framebuffer available

I try install the bootloader and a new firmware again and again and the receiver accepts them but is always having the enigma2 crash.

What can I do?

Thanks in advance!

framebuffer not available means the drivers don't load.

If this keeps popping up, type the command "lsusb", and check the output for "dead:beef". If it is not present, the security board of your box has bought it. Only your supplier can replace it, not even sure if they are still available.

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Ultimate (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

Many answers to your question can be found in our new and improved wiki.

First of all thanks!

To a "lsub" comand my ET6000 responds like this:

Bus 002 Device 002: ID 1a40:0101
Bus 001 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002
Bus 002 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002
Bus 003 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001
Bus 004 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001

I have also a ET5000 that responds with the "dead:beef":
Bus 001 Device 002: ID 1307:0165
Bus 002 Device 002: ID 1a40:0101
Bus 001 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002
Bus 002 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002
Bus 003 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001
Bus 004 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001
Bus 002 Device 003: ID dead:beef

So I have a problem with the security board.

Can I copy some files from the ET5000 to the ET6000 to make it ok?

And now I leave the ET6000 power off for a couple of days and when I turn it on it was hard for the receiver to start (10 minutes for the leds red and green start with a lot of powering off and on for the receiver starts). All the leds (green, red and yellow) were on but faded.

No, the security board is a piece of hardware in your receiver. You need to exchange it. No way to fix it by yourself.

From what I read here on the forum xtrend reportedly said once, that they'll provide drivers that circumvent the security board for their boxes, 'when the time comes',
https://forums.openp...ndpost&p=490484
Now, the 1-st generation xtrends are out of sales / production for a long time, and nothing happened (and I bet that there is no longer a chance for that).
'a bit' disappointing...

@Blzr,

I agree. But as there is a new party for Xtrend there is some light at the end of this tunnel. ;)

First of all thank to all for the help!

I'm very disappointed with Xtrend. At the time the ET5000 and ET6000 xtrend came out I bought several and I recommended the purchase to other users.
And now a power failure is enough to have a receiver inoperable.

And they do not give a solution!
Since they no longer produce the ET6000, why do not they provide a solution to the security board problem?

the original Xtrend organisation is no more, there is a new party that is in the proces of  taking over, as Frenske already mentioned. Once that is finished, we can see if we can start a dialog with this party about this issue.

I'll send them a message and inquire whether they can make a deal with the external partner to obtain some securityboards. Keep your fingers crossed.

Nope. You’d best mail directly to Elicom in Germany and ask them for a new SB. Although my contact is supposed being a coworker of Elicom this line is almost ‘dead’.
