Hey Willy,

would you possibly make one little exception to this rule? On 42.0E there is "Fil TV", a movie channel (FTA) which can easily be received in all of Europe. They broadcast all movies in Turkish and the original language (mostly English) and have very little commercials.

My problem is that their EPG is obviously in Turkish, which I don't understand. So to check if there is something interesting running, I have to switch to the channel and browse the web for the original title of the movie. This is not very convenient.

However, today I noticed that they have a program guide on the web which also lists the original titles. Would it be possible to include this as a Turkish/English movie channel? You could add it to the UK roster, as most movies are broadcast in English as second language.

This would be the service reference:

<channel id="FilTV.tr">1:0:19:1FDB:A85D:68:1A40000:0:0:0:</channel> <!-- Fil TV (42.0E) -->

And this is their web page: http://www.filtv.tv/FilTV/MainPage

If you click on "Yayın Akışı" (one of the two big links on the left) the program guide will open, which contains the original titles for all movies.

Thank you for considering this request. I can understand if you don't want to invest the effort, but this would be a great help to all English-speaking movie lovers who have access to 42.0E. No hard feelings if you don't want to do this.

Cheers,

vinyl

Yes, unfortunately I haven't found any source which contains English program information including the description.

Would you consider only grabbing the English title for the movies and disregarding the description? That way it would still be very useful for English-speaking movie fans (like me), but keep the data size to an absolute minimum.

As I said before, I would completely understand if you don't want to make such an exception - but still I do have to ask, since having English movie titles would be a great help (i.e. setting timers for recordings without having to browse the web).

Thanks for your help!

Isn't there a plugin to convert the EPG data to English?

Sent from my HTC One M9PLUS using Forum Fiend v1.3.3.

Yes there is a plug-in which Google translates EPG.

See here:  https://forums.openp...translated-epg/

Why don't you do it yourself.

Webgrab++ (search for it with Google) is very good at grabbing EPG.  I will write a SiteIni for this channel and post it here.

Dear Willy,

May I ask why you don't do Turkish channels? I am at your service if you need to do that please. Just let me know how I can help you.

In the past there was a Turkish package (it still is in the sources file) but the data was provide by a third source.

This source has stopped doing this.  So no more Turkish EPG.

I do not have the time and equipment to do.

(Grabbing Turkish EPG from the few existing websites is slow, and ties up a PC for quite a long time)

Also I do not read Turkish and it is fairly difficult for me to maintain this.

But, you can remark you do also other languages.  Yes, but these website are under the skin fairly friendly for the non-speaker.

Not so with Turkish websites.  Turkish only, even in the tags, which makes very difficult.

I will not expand to countries beyond Europe. Except the few I am already doing.

If you read other threads here on the forum, I refused to do the Beinsport channels for the Arabian market for this same reason.

Thank you Willy and I respect that.

But currently Turkish channels are already ready in Webgrabplus web site. See below xml

http://webgrabplus.c...tr.channels.xml

All I need is someone convert this to something XMLTV can read. Because current Turkey XMLTV is obsolete in the plugin. Or at least do me the favor and  how I can do so that other folks can utilize as well not me.

To my surprise as of yesterday I can see most of the 42° channel epg s for the next week or so.

BTW:There was a question about translating epg here couple of moths ago.

Probably solved: but there is the epg translator plugin for enigma2
