hello everybody,the image is working great on dm 500 hd.just wanted o know if its possible to delete the testing pictures,in order to gain moore flash memory,and in which folder they are...are there any other folders (which are not essential for the function of the image)i could delete to enlarge flash memory?

Testing images are very small, so not much to gain there. If you own a V1 version you might want to consider to buy a new box. Upgrading memory is not possible unless you wish to use flashexpander.

i just need to find 7 mb somewhere...thats why t thought deleting the test pictures for adjusting the screen ,would free the 7 mb....but i dont know in which folder they are and if i can delete them without the risk that the image is not working anymore afterwards

You can delete the testimages. It won't hurt as long as you don't try to execute the testscreens. You can throw away any drivers you don't need. Especially all WLAN drivers, kernel modules and firmwares. But again ONLY if you don't use them!

does flashexpander on usb stick work with the latest image? are the usb ports active? also for connecting a usb hdd?

On the Dm500HD the USB ports are by default disabled in hardware!! This is due to the fact that DM omited to incorporate a chargeprotector which is mandatory by USB specification. You can activate them by removing R1010 and R1011 on the mainboard. Be carefull as these terminator are VERY small. In some cases only R1011 is present which means that only USBB is shut off and the internal USBA is active.. FYI: USBA and USBB are active LOW. Once activated they work on ANY image. No special image necessary.
