Hi ,

 

i'm using OpenPLI image and Vu+DUO , I have No Dish signal , No Satellite list , only a IPTV List mixed UK , US , Canada.. under Favourite/Bouquet

 

I have xml epg file for all streams that i have in iptv in 1 file , i can link that via Kodi ok no problem

 

i will set a cronjob script that will grab the epg file from a url & download it at a place inside my box such /etc/enigma2/

 

Now my question how to tell enigma2 to read epg from that file and link each epg via channel id to approriate epg ?

In order to import epg you will need the XMLTV plugin.  And for IPTV you will have to link the EPG to the channels by creating custom source and channels files.

This gives a list of working IPTV channels and the entries for these are included in the rytec.channels.xml file.  The relevant section is copied below:

Forgot to mention (and it is not in the above mentioned examples)

 

In the XMLTVimport plugin you can use local XMLTV files.  For this replace:

<url>http://url1/rytecxmltvero.gz</url>
<url>http://url2/rytecxmltvero.gz</url>
<url>http://url3/rytecxmltvero.gz</url>
<url>http://url4/rytecxmltvero.gz</url>
<url>http://url5/rytecxmltvero.gz</url>

with one:

 

<url>/mnt/NAS/yourfile.xml</url>

 

or

 

<url>/mnt/NAS/yourfile.xml.gz</url>

 

 

It can use uncompressed files or gz compressed files.

Just define the path an filename instead of the url.

Enigma does not read the XMLTV.xml files.  This has to be done with the XMLTVimport plugin.

 

The XMLTV plug-n can be installed from the OpenPLi feed.  via Menu - Apllications.

I assume that the receiver is connected to the internet because you use IPTV.

 

I cannot be done with a script.

  PLi-OE Distro: openpli Firmware version: 4.0 Driver date: 3.9.6+20151124-r0 Kernel version: 3.9.6 Gui version: 2016-04-10-(HEAD detached at 41d0298)

 

When i try to download any Plugin i got error :

 

wget Server returner error: HTTP/1.1 404 Not Found

Failed to Download http://jam.japhar.co...ons-xmltvimport......., wget return 1

 

it seem the openPLI feeds not hosting or server issue...

You're not using OpenPLi. You're using some ripped OpenPLi clone image from the japhar team.

 

So you need to complain with them (and when you do, tell them they as illegally using the OpenPLi name).

and my Vu+Duo is ORIGINAL

That doesn't make it an OpenPLi image, anything not downloaded from http://openpli.org/download is not an genuine image.
 
That topic points to another topic called "-Unofficial- Gstreamer 1.9.0.1 images 2016-04 V2 -based on- OpenPLi 4", which clearly says is not an official image, it is just something "based on" OpenPLi.

 

If you have an original Duo, install the image from https://openpli.org/...load/vuplus/Duo, see if you still have your problem, and if so, we will be in a position to help.

Ok i Load latest OpenPLI Version and installed (Xml) EPG Import plugins

 

I have edited /etc/epgimport/rytec.sources.xml to my current config

Via Plugin EPG import Menu i have Selected source and ticked EPG Cust , after i clicked Manual , i see plugin load 520 events

 

however the EPG isnt been updated to the channel view !!?

 

i'm sure the user.bouquet has correct values and epg has correct data

OK.  It looks like the XMLTVplug-in is importing something.

At least you got the mechanical part working now.

 

However, 520 events is very little.  Unless you are trying with only couple of channels.

And then the question remains, where is the data gone if it does not show up at the desired place?

 

From this info, I cannot answer this. 

Can you perform an import, and ask for the epgimport log within the plug-in.  How this is achieved can be found in out FAQ's.

Post the log pls.

 

Also can you show me the ichan.xml.gz file pls.  (send it by PM if you do not want to post it here)

Also send from 2 or 3 channels the exact entry in the bouquet file.  (also by PM if you want to)

PS:  I tried to help somebody else with a similar problem, but he did not want to show me the used channels file, nor an extract of some channels as they are presented in the bouquet file.

Needless to say we never resolved the problem.  You are going to trust me with your info.

There is no epg log files in /tmp/

 

When i press inside plugin epg button , it just show icon information with : Last import : Date of import (today...) , 520 events

Btw i loaded the same epg data on mobile app and worked fine...

I believe that.  But adding EPG to an enigma system is just a bit more complicated.  And adding it to IPTV is even more complicated.

there is no XMLTV importer (name) , it's called under Plugins : EPGImport

 

as i said no log in /tmp folder

OK.  There is a bit of confusion with the name.

The plug-in is called XMLTVimport when installing.

In the Application list it is named EPGimport.

 

To obtain the log:

 

Open EPGimport.

Perform an import.  (Press the manual button)

Press the Menu button on the remote.

make the choice to show the log.  (You are offered a short menu of 2 possibilities)

Show the log.

Save the log.  The log will be then (and only then in /tmp/

They are 0 log /tmp for epgimport

 

is there a way to run manual load via the command line and output the logs ?

 

cause from Menu plugin , i see events loaded but none displayed..

You cannot run the epgimport plug-in from the command line.

 

I am growing a bit impatient, because you cannot produce a import.log

Read our FAQ's.  I have copied the relevant section here:

 

* Where is the epgimport.log

 

Open the XMLTV importer.

Press now the Menu button on your remote.

Make the choice to see the log.

Now you see the log.  This log can be saved, and you find the saved fle in /tmp/

 

 

The log is not saved automatically.  You have to request it and manually save it!!!!!!
