I have problems streaming 3 polish FTA channels, 4Fun.TV, 4Fun Gold Hits and 4Fun dance.

If I stream directly (no transcoding), VLC opens, but no picture appears.

I've discovered that on VLC, i press the right button =>playback => program => and then they appear a lot of numbers.

They are Service IDs. If I select the right one (17037) then I get picture.

It seems it streams all transponder SIDs, but just data for one channel.

But If I stream using transcoding, everything is right.

Is it normal ?

Other channels are streamed OK using direct mode.

Yes that is normal. The PAT (Program Association Table) in the transport stream is copied verbatim, it's not modified. The PAT will include all of the services on the tranponder. Using the PAT, the application should search for the PMTs (Program Mapping Table). The stream will include only one PMT, only the one from the streamed service. And via that route, the receiver (be it a STB or a software player) should determine which service actually is included in the stream. Mplayer will do it correctly, I am not sure about VLC, but I guess so.

No, it doesn't.

If I try to stream 4Fun.TV channels on Hot Bird, on VLC, it doesn't work.

Attached File  vlc_4fun_no_ok.jpg   70.37KB   2 downloads

If I try it on Windows Media Player (w10 64b) it even shows an error.

If I try to stream (using transcoding) it's OK

http://192.168.0.16:8001/1:0:1:428D:2BC0:13E:820000:0:0:0:?bitrate=2000000?width=720?height=576?aspectratio=2?interlaced=0

Attached File  vlc_4fun_ok.jpg   94.67KB   2 downloads

Look at the picture, program can not be selected, and that's the way it should be.

On other channels (except for these 3 from 4Fun TV) direct streaming is OK.

Is it a VLC Bug or a OpenWebIf/enigma/Box Bug ?

Did you play with OpenWebif settings? There should be an option to append a channel name to stream info. Try setting it to YES.

It is the last option, Add service name to stream information.

It was already set to YES. Changing value doesn't solve it.

Have you tried it (tried to stream any of the three 4Fun.tv channels) ?

????

Today, Stars.TV (another polish music channel) has joined this transpoder.

I can't stream it too.......

I don't know where is the problem.

I've uninstalled openwebif plugin, restarted box, installed again, and it behaves the same way.....

As I said, I have no problem streaming these 3 channels but I have ET9000 and I don't have Kodi.

I'll ask a friend of mine who has a Solo2 if he has any problem with these channels.

I just wanted to show that people have problems with these 3 channels on Hot Bird. I'm not alone.

OK, I checked with a friend of mine who has a Solo2 - no problem with streaming of 4Fun channels.

He is using a different image though.

It seems the problem is only on ET10K.

I've checked on DM500HDV2 (satdreamgr) and ET9K (openpli 4) and both work fine.

Could anybody with an ET10K check it ?

I have downloaded and flashed a clean image (without restore any settings and without installing any plugin), just scanning this 10758 V freq.,  and it has the same problem....

So, it seems it is a specific problem for this box model.

OpenWebIf Bug ? OpenPli Bug ?

Just to be sure, you can watch it, but you can't stream it? Can you record it?

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Pro (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

And what is the exact service ref of the channel you are trying to stream? Can you post the URL?

I've checked two remote boxes (Vu+ Duo2 and a Zgemma H3) that can receive 13.0E, both have the "4 FUN" channels twice (can't see what is what in the webif), but both don't start a stream.

I can watch them, perfectly, I can record them. I can stream (transcoded) them, but I can't stream Directly.

They only appear once on transpoder, not twice. Perhaps you have old setings (they where on another freq. some monts ago)

When I connect to the transcoder, I get a rediculously low bitrate, and only some grey block that flashes every now and then.

Connecting to the standard stream port gives a stream, but it doesn't seem to be something VLC has a codec for.

This is what mediainfo has to say:
