Make sure you have your environment setup properly. There are some threads about how to setup Ubuntu if needed.

Then clone https://github.com/O...openpli-oe-core locally, do a "git submodule init", "git submodule update", and build your image using "MACHINE=<your-box-name> make image".

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Pro (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

Many answers to your question can be found in our new and improved wiki.

16.04? Sure? Also for PLi 4 images?
I currently use 14.04 and can build pli4 and pli5 images without problems.

Well, although I only usually build OE-A images on Ubuntu 16.04, I have built images from OpenPli for the Mut@nt HD51 using my  Ubunti 16.04 system - although haven't tried in the last month.

For those who can't work with Debian based images:

I build on Fedora 25, when I have time I'll try to setup a VM from scratch and document that setup as well. I already have something, but I'm not sure it is complete as it was an existing machine.

Use the current Zorin (light weight debian based distro) in a VirtualBox and use this make.sh to build openpli5:

git clone https://github.com/O...openpli-oe-core
cd openpli-oe-core
make
cd build
source env.source
MACHINE=et10000 bitbake openpli-enigma2-image

In my case to build it for a et10000.

I can't build a pli4 image with this setup.

2 x ultimo4k (dvb-c fbc + 1 dvb-s2, 8.3r/nb) + een et10k/osmini (geen tuners en dus fallbackclient, nb) met een Synology ds214+ (2 x 6 TB) op DSM 7.1.1 in ziggo oost (voormalig @Home) + A1/A2/A3/HB (TechniSat)

I am going to try... but there are lots of patches to apply, I think so... I will start with it, but I will get lots of frustrated attemps to get complete... I cannot get it, but I will play...thanks

16.04. Why would you consider using an old version if the current one works fine?

Hi,

To be clear, I am not the author of this tutorial but I am using it as reference when I need to setup a build environment.

But I guess that the author is probably on this forum too.
