What exactly is "Youtube" in relation to the image? Some sort of plugin? What are you trying to do? Perhaps find the author of whatever you are using?

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Ultimate (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

My gut feeling says that Youtube switched to SNI! So python cannot talk any more to those servers.

Launch no problem:

Attached File  launch right.jpg   90.69KB   17 downloads

When I select Public Feeds, exact all items,

Attached File  public feeds.jpg   79.34KB   16 downloads

feedback same result.

Attached File  same result.jpg   59.53KB   15 downloads

I tried all versions linked as below, results same.

I was just about to say, we can't seem to kill the common belief that every image is exactly the same, and all images are compatible. This is NOT the case.

And to the TS, if you install something yourself, not from our feed, give us the correct and complete information, we can not guess what you are trying to do, and what you have installed from where.

I installed from OpenPli official feed, met this problem. Then I found many version from http://taapat.ho.ua/...plugin-youtube/. I thought the latter one is same with Pli seed. If not, it's my fault...

Ok, found it: enigma2-plugin-extensions-youtube.

On my development build it runs without problems. That does support SNI, so if that is indeed the case, you're out of luck as that is not supported on OpenPLi 4.

So I need to flash a box with OpenPLi 4 and see what happens then.

Thanks for you decided to make some investigations. I hope the problem can be confirmed and repaired in firmware update later.

If it is what we think it is, you will have to wait for the next release, SNI will not be implemented in OpenPLi 4.

There is (no proper) SSL support in OpenPLi 4.

But it can be added by pretty simple patch.

There is need a little changes to backport SNI support from newer version of python.

Even for python 2.6 it is possible.

What python version is used by OpenPli 4?

@doubledip

Do you use OpenPli 4.0 and want to test patch for HTTPS?

If Yes please provide details about your STB and image like:

  1. OpenSSL version
  2. glibc version
  3. hard/soft float

To know how to got this information please read http://iptvplayer.pl...tallmipsel.html

We will not backport it, OpenPLi 4 is about to go EoL, the builds are already partly frozen.

@WanWizard

I do not ask you for anything.

Users of your softwares wait long enough.

I will prepare binary patch. You will do not need to do anything If you don't like users.

I only show you that this is simple but you have ordered to wait so long to new Release.

This is not normal. But you can do what you want.

@doubledip

Thaks for the info.

SSS
