Just to clear this up...

I don't have a USB tuner that is S2X/MIS/PLS capable.

With the SF4008 and the above instructions I can grab a recording of all PIDs on one IS at a time. This includes PIDs that are outside the scope of a normal recording such as NIT/SDT/BAT.

This thread is about recording a full transport stream with an enigma receiver. If you have a PC card just use a piece of software like Transedit.

On windows PC I use EBSpro, and I receive FULL T-stream on ET10K, No problem.

What I want, is to do it directly on ET10K, without need of PC. that's why I tried to do it with dvbstream……

It doesn't matter if I do recording or streaming, the problem is that dvbstream doesn't work on my box.

That's why I asked it.

Most probably usb tuner is used by e2, lsof | grep adapter1 will tell if that happens.

ET 10K has 4 internal tuners + 3 external ones.

adapter 0 frontend 0 - Internal

adapter 0 frontend 1 - Internal

adapter 0 frontend 2 - Internal

adapter 0 frontend 3 - Internal

adapter 1 frontend 0 (TBS5925)

adapter 2 frontend 0 (TechniSat SkyStar HD USB)

adapter 3 frontend 0 (Avermedia A835B)

Box in standby:

root@et10000:~# lsof | grep adapter1
676     /usr/bin/enigma2        /dev/dvb/adapter1/demux0
root@et10000:~#

If I use this tuner, the answer is :

root@et10000:~# lsof | grep adapter1
818     /usr/bin/enigma2        /dev/dvb/adapter1/demux0
818     /usr/bin/enigma2        /dev/dvb/adapter1/frontend0

You should now let e2 use the tuner if you are going to use from linux command line tools.

(read is ok, write on tuner fails because e2 has tuner open in read write mode)

Or

init 4

Then type your command line, so we are sure that the tuners are not used

Could someone who can receive 0.8w obtain a recording of the following frequency please? 1 minute should be enough.

frequency="12418000"
symbol_rate="28000000"
Polarisation=Vertical

Thanks in advance

Here is a new version of dvbstream for mips and arm, with max filters allow to 256 instead of default 16.Recent boxes, support way more than 16 pid filters (eg new 4K boxes can get more than 512!)

Could you provide the source code for your patched version?

Is there any way to record full TS on Enigma 2, without specifying all the PIDs?

Thanks

Further back it was suggested to use dvbsnoop to get the PIDs.

./dvbstream `dvbsnoop -s pidscan| awk '/PID found/ { print $3 }' | xargs` -o>1w_12418.ts

Recent boxes, support way more than 16 pid filters (eg new 4K boxes can get more than 512!).

Grab the pids using dvbsnoop and then use dvbstream or use the following oneliner.

dvbstream `dvbsnoop -s pidscan| awk '/PID found/ { print $3 }' | xargs` -o>full.ts
Of course if you have a USB stick, life is much simpler creating full TS with 0x2000 PID.

Do we need a different version of dvbstream for 64 bit STBs (e.g. OS Mio 4K)?

Also, I tried adding a timer with "-n secs" but it just gets ignored. Any idea why that would be?
