I don't understand.
We have several language packs for each Dreambox. However, the DM500 does not have a lot of memory to download languages. Thats why we also have a Chinese version.
Or would you like to translate?

It's quite easy:
First you need the .po translation file which has the original English text and for example the Chinese translations. Using the editor "poedit" www.poedit.net you can translate each English text.

If you'd like to translate (and if we have no translator for that yet) send me a PM and I'll send you the files needed.

Hi!
I am currently engaged in translation into Russian.
Unfortunately existing translation is not complete.

I have translated from the Polish version, but it is also not complete.
Some messages were not translated.

Therefore, the question - please:

Where to find the full English text?...or German .../images/smiley/smile.gif

if the po file is not uptodate, generate a new one from the sources.
The makefile is there.
When you do an openembedded build, this will be done automatically, I don't know about the cdk though.

To generate a new po file:
Go to apps/tuxbox/enigma/po and run "make update-po"

I already did it for you, and here is the latest language file.

I've follow all step in http://openpli.pli-images.org/wiki/LittleEasyImprovements but it did not change.
After I've changed default.emsl or other .emsl file in /cdk/apps/tuxbox/enigma/data/skins.
For example
<font file="md_khmurabi_10.ttf" name="Replacement" scale="78" replacement="yes" />
to
<font file="Purisa.ttf" name="Replacement" scale="78" replacement="yes" />
and also copy Purisa.ttf file to /share/fonts.
Then it works but don't completely (the font size is small, some menu was show in english).
Anyone advise me please.

I've use cdk version for build image so I've changed some Makefile.am manually.

P.S. So, I think you should also add above step in http://openpli.pli-images.org/wiki/LittleEasyImprovements page.

If the text is not in the po file it will not be translated. It could be of course that we forget to add some texts to the po files. Please post here what's not translated.

I think moonoiis referring to the skin setup and design which will only effect the EPG in this case not the .po editing which is required to have Thai in the menus.

Sorry, That I mistaken somethings about po file. Now, I've update my th.po with tuxbox-enigma.pot and found that the file has more field to translate(blank).

I think moonoiis referring to the skin setup and design which will only effect the EPG in this case not the .po editing which is required to have Thai in the menus.

To jonc the reply above I talk about "Thai menu" not "Thai EPG".
As I've follow your step but the menu that I've translate was not show(blank). Until I change font in .esml file. Can you explain me this problem?

Thank you

that is right, you will need to do that or simply download the Pli Media 8 bit (Thai) skin and use that under blue button | software management | downloads | skins

If you get a minute can you PM me the th.po file you have done and I will compile it into a openpli cdk for the 500 and try it out here. I will have to scale the thai media pli skin so it is not oversized in english when I get a tick.

You will also have to look at the html/tmp (html templates) files and change it to Thai encoding as well - there is a thread on here from last year when I was playing with it in IE could not get it to work well in FF. See http://www.pli-image...4425#post_64425

Cheers

Thanks!
But please make a ticket as described here: http://openpli.pli-i...asyImprovements and if all the translations are (more or less) ready, attach the po file. It's not we like rules ;) but just to be sure we don't forget it.
