What will be new in 5.0?
The new version will not be much different from the current one.
Main difference for end-users will be an upgrade of gstreamer (much better streaming support). The biggest changes are technical and procedural, which should allow us to develop much quicker and with less end-user impact than currently is the case.
Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Pro (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)
Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

Nope. The current planning is "within a few days".
Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Pro (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)
Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

Release candidate, so a pre-release for testing purposes. We do this because we will start with stable releases, instead of nightly beta's, and we want to make sure the stable release is really stable.
And yes, it will have gstreamer 1.12.

We have been waiting for this for several years. If possible, give us a link where to download a new candidate for graduation. We also want to test.
