Don't count on any Kodi stuff in 6.0, maybe not even in 6.1. We're focussing on important stuff, core business.

A patch is not sufficient. It must be something that maintains itself. For instance a meta-* submodule which is maintained by some active people.
To give an example, I spent a few hours today to get the rtl8192eu driver compiling. Once again. Every time we change "something" in our OE and everything Reatltek changes "something", the build process breaks. I really know more fun ways to spend your time off. I don't have an USB wifi stick and I don't even like them. Still it breaks the build and "someone" has to fix it. I am done with it. The next time the this driver's build breaks, I will remove it.
And that is why I don't want to be dependent on third parties' stuff.

I'm happy!
I got use for my Vu+ Duo2 again, got some inspiration from this thread it seems.
Loaded 6.0RC and replace the Canal Digital STB with DUO2, installed OSCAM, moved over the subscription card and updated the channel list.
All works.
Time the get some use of my motorised dish now.
Thank's to all of you excellent devs!

hi friend
someone can help me to find the hdmi check setting or menu in new openpli 6?
thanks soo much
Menu - Setup - System - Audio/Video - HDMI-CEC.
If you don't see it, check your menu level at Menu - Setup - System - Customize, first entry, it should be set at at least "Advanced".
Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Ultimate (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)
Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

It is there, but it is possible that you don't see it, because of the default menu level. Check setup, system, customize, and set the menu level to advanced or expert (if needed).

you know, the times I've read the preceding advice - you even have a topic pinned at the top of the dutch forum board - I'm wondering if it just isn't better to take the "expert" value as default. This would save you a lot of explaining .....

It's called a WLAN bridge or WiFi bridge. Some access points can do it as well, if you have an old one lying around, use that.

That's an consideration we made, but we guessed that then we'd have even more questions.
