There is an option for it somewhere in the menu. I have set it to 30 days and then the files are deleted.

Another question.
Is it possible to delete the recycle bin in the standard movie player (button list/ovr on duo2) automatically by time (e.g. after 1 week) like EMC does?

That already happens automatically,

The default is 8 days or when diskspace falls below 40GB. You can change both in setup - system - expert settings - record.

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Pro (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

Actually, to keep your disk from spinning up needlessly, it's:
- After finishing all recordings, the 8 days old recordings are deleted
- Before starting a recording, it deletes recordings until free diskspace is at least 40GB

So if your box isn't doing any recordings, it won't do trashcan maintenance either.

In other words, if you have plenty of free space left, it is pointless to worry about files in the Trashcan. And if you don't, the same applies. ;)

I have usb tuner RTL2832U which was working on older image but not any more. Installed drivers from plugins but still not loading.
What shall I check please?

Exactly what i reported in my bug report thread for Vu+ DUO 2

I see the same behaviour on 6.0 RC as I've seen in previous versions.

It seems that if I look at one channel and at the same time have a recording running on another channel, the Channel List opens by itself, quite randomly.

I'm fairly certain it started doing this after I configured HDMI CEC to start/stop the TV when operating the STB (VU+ DUO2).

Is this a known issue with a solution?

Definitely not a known issue, never seen or heared anything like this before.

Maybe a fault with the remote, so that the box sees a keypress that isn't there? Or the TV sending some HDMI-CEC command that the box interprets wrong?

If you switch HDMI-CEC off again, does the problem go away?

GigaBlue says "Coming soon"

That is entirely up to them.

W're in the initial stages for cooperation, the next step is a working BSP package for the boxes they want support for, and we're waiting for that.

If they say "soon", they seem to be confident creating the package is not a problem.

Yes, you can not restore an smb.conf from OpenPLi 4 to OpenPLi 6.

If you have customized yours, the global section is different, so you need to take that from the new smb.conf, the share definitions seem to be compatible between Samba 3 and Samba 4.

I can confirm it... but it is typically a VU only issue. :(

Yes, you can not restore an smb.conf from OpenPLi 4 to OpenPLi 6.

When you change to openpli6 you'll have the old smb.conf on your box as smb.conf.old file.... to help you to adjust it to the new format.

From what I've seen I have not been able to trigger it manually, but when it happens it quite often happens several times.

Very randomly and slightly annoying.

And I had it on my previous STB, a Vu+ Duo, too.
