I prefer to put discussed defaults in the wizard... and force just these configs for 6.0... e.g. also alternative numbering included...

Indeed "alternative" numbering is also a recurrent "problem".  ;)

And at restore of previous settings with autobackup, the HDMI-CEC is not set to back to ON.

Bug report: OpenPLI 6.0

Automount after reboot of most FAT/FAT32 formatted 1GB USB flash drives does not work reliably.

All three 1GB USB flash drives I tested (for settings backup purposes), had been recognized at runtime immediately, after reboot the stick is gone.

Unpluging/repluging the USB flash drive at runtime solves the problem temporally.

USB flash drives with size of 2GB or greater survive a restart.

I tested 3 pc. 1GB USB flash drives, 1 pc. remounts at reboot (the oldest one) , don't ask me why.

I think it is not a bad idea to add the menu level setting to the startup wizard.
For alternative numbering this is a different case. We can revert it, I totally do not care

I think at least to stop all discussion Harro or Erik 'revert' the change in defaults patch on RC-6.0..

https://github.com/O...606df79f6eef93f (made by me, driven by redneck eyeball)

Actually 4 defaults were changed. About two of them we heared nothing so I suggest we only should revert the alternative numbering and the default menu setting... So everyone who does restore settings get all their settings of concern back.

And then about the menu level setting we could consider to add a screen to the wizard where you can set the menu level and there we could put the default selection by default on simple (this for 6.1).

Well I really hated this option, so I reverted a little part of that commit.

When I could revert it in rc6.0 I already did it a few weeks ago... Then this discussion was already over for a few weeks... :( Sorry I do currently not have the rights to change things in RC6.0...

I still don't agree, but who am I...

If we revert it, I would like that to be a temporary measure, and get an agreement the current config system needs an overhaul, to address the root cause of this issue. Otherwise, we're stuck until the end of times with this stupid implementation.

When VU+ offers an implementation that works, of when someone comes up with an open source implementation.

Hello all

I have noticed a problem with the mediaplayer : when i begin a movie, the image arrive during 4 or 5 seconds, and then there is a black screen during 2 or 3 seconds, and the movies goes normally.

I hope, this will be corrceted in the next version.

Great job !

What kind of file is it (I would suspect not a normal recording). If it is another file (like MP4) what kind and give the codec details (you can find it out with the help of https://mediaarea.ne...iaInfo/Download )

Ps. Wouldn't it be handy to have this also in OpenPLi so you can "investigate" the codec etc from a file in the GUI? The code is available at https://sourceforge....ects/mediainfo/

Could also be a gstreamer issue. For 6.1 there are some gstreamer fixes planned (currently v1.12.2) which will make streaming more stable.

Not a viable solution if 6.1 is too far away from being released.

You'll have to live with what we can archieve. You can always compile your own develop image if you can't wait.
