There are also dvb-t2 boxes available which can playback h265 with max full hd. E.g. Os mini plus. So not necessarily 4K boxes only.
And yes, your formuler can't do it.

ok it depends of cpu & gpu power. thanks
No, the GPU isn't used for this. Neither is the CPU. It's the dedicated DVB hardware in the SoC.
precary soc, formuler1 one. transcode is by sofware, not through soc... so bad election to buy a formuler1, and it was still not a year ago... what a pity...

You need to solve it with a setting on your TV... not your E2 box....

No. The E2 OSD fails to show on TV. It is visible though in openwebif.

As blzr stated above, you can trigger this fault on the ET9x00 using the overscan wizard.

t's a known issue (for me at least) - had this on my et9500 since some OE update last year on openpli5 / develop images:
[...]
looks like a driver in connection with some updated OE package (gcc5 most probably?) issue,

I was able to easily trigger this using overscan test screen,
you can test this: when your osd is missing, run overscan wizard using openwebif remote and voilà, osd is back...

for me the problem was that overscan apparently tended to re-appear spontaneously after e2/box restart from time to time, hence osd randomly got lost, so I just uninstalled videotune plugin, and that helped...

You are right, the overscan wizard brings back the OSD.
However, uninstalling the videotune plugin does not make any difference. The problem persists.

I don't have my et9500 anymore to test, but IIRC for me worked something like this:
1) 'restore' osd using overscan wizard from openwebif
2) restart e2, make sure osd is still present (!)
3) uninstall videotune plugin (that includes overscan screen)
4) restart e2, cross your fingers ;)

actually I was never able to trigger osd dissapearance without overscan wizard, so for me after above problem was gone, but...
True sarcasm doesn't need green font...

I have uninstalled videotune, but the overscan wizard is still there.

Apart from that, the OSD failure occured also when I changed the UI language...

It's probably a deeper problem that needs to be analyzed.

AFAIK the F1 wasn't advertised supporting trancoding.

The actual problem is that this problem only occurs on this receiver. So it can never be a real enigma2 bug (maybe on the edge...)

That makes it quite hard to fix ;)

ok, just with experimental drivers, not with BSP ones used by OpenPLi. I won't insist on it anymore. but...waiting you decide to use the newest drivers. no problem.

I have noticed a problem with LCD4Linux : The frame of previsualization is moved towards the right, and it's difficult to configure it.

This is not a matter of Openpli 6.0. It's skin related (FullHD skin).

Until it's fixed, you may use the WEB Interface to make the configuration.

Or, as an alternative, temporarily switch to a HD skin.

I've mentioned this before to you. We don't decide which drivers to use, the manufacturer does. We don't maintain the BSP. And I am pretty sure there is a reason the manufacturer doesn't put experimental drivers in the BSP.

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Ultimate (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

I am experiencing problems with mp3 files (6.0rc on ET9000).
The first selected track plays fine, but no other mp3 file will play after that.

Other formats can still be played, only mp3 are stuck until you exit the mediaplayer.

I thought there was a patch for this specific audio mp3 problem on Xtrend receivers, developed by someone:  https://github.com/o...9def44b582db81f

Greetings Jork.

There is a screen name="SecondInfoBarSimple" in the skin PLi-FullNightHD. How can I see it on the receiver?

Thanks!

Possible to make this image for Gigablue UHD Quad 4K?

We are in disussion with Gigablue. But the initiative has to come from the manufacturer, not from us.

What is the Status of the discussion. Is it only a matter of a working BSP layer?

They will have to decide for which boxes they want OpenPLi support, and after that, the next step is a working BSP, yes.
