Yes license warnings...A lot of them are fixed,  e2openplugins (GPLv2) also point to wrong license. I'm not sure,but probably MIT license packagegroup bbclas OE-core?

We just started and a lot of boxes are untested. Not much respons yet.

 

You have to live with that errors for the time being. sorry.

Generally today, all of the things works (tested with my dm7020hd V1). But still, I'm worried about tomorrow, because these things are working honestly on the top of Word of honor. Also, it is not normal to the user with small knowledge. But everything works exactly as it says in the Guide 100%

Hi, I've added full support for the old DM800HD PVR to you meta-dream BSP Layer.

I've also fixed a few other issues regarding the dvb-modules and added back the splash-screens which were removed from the openpli-bootlogo.

It required a shitload of work to get the kernel up and running using gcc-6.

But it's here.

It can successfully build both the openpli-enigma2-image and openpli-enigma2-feed

 

So the "most cloned" receiver can now run OpenPLi 6 again

 

Will probably make lots of users happy hehe.

How did you manage to get a modern enigma running on such an old kernel (+ dvb4linux interface)?

A few things.
I've rewritten the asm patches (from xtrend since they have a mips32el-nf receiver as well) for linux 2.6.18.

I've also rewritten the eglibc 2.19 recepies to build with our recent OE (and renamed them to glibc).
Furthermore it required quite a few bbappends for packages relying on newer kernel ABI's and backporting some code from more recent kernels to 2.6.18.
For example this one for enigma2 https://github.com/M...ld_dvbapi.patch
However the v4l-dvb-modules come pre-compiled, had to draw the line somewhere and cheat a little

Still the problem remains that you cannot build for this receiver alongside other mips32el-nf receivers since they use a more recent version of glibc and kernel-headers.

So the dm800 image and feeds needs to be built in a separate build-directory and the mips-feed cannot be shared.

Well I just did some testing and it seems to work very well.

A fresh build for dm800 by only replacing the meta-dream BSP layer with the one from our DMM-PLi github account.

No changes to meta-openpli or whatsoever creating an original homebuild image based on the develop branch.

 

It boots fine, the wizard guides me trough everything and I did a cable scan.

It seems to be a bit faster as well compared to my older PLi-4 builds, zapping is pretty fast and the remote control is more responsive.

 

I also installed the youtube plugin and played back some videos which playback perfectly fine.

The fixes for fragmented videos in the new gstreamer 1.12.x really did good for this old SoC.

I remember in the past using my PLi-4 builds I had to use serviceapp and set exteplayer3 as the default player for youtube videos or else they would skip and freeze as hell.

 

So mission complete I guess

As you see in description, it's a bit complicated to get it working, but it can be done.

I encounter some fetch problems, so i added the source in case you don't have them.

 

This should be solved the boot problem dm7080 and dm820 with this new Openembedded-core.

 

This requires a complete rebuild from scratch.

 

For those who want to test/try it...Go your way and report. Especially dm7080..which encounter boot problem with rc-6.0/develop branch.

build fails openwebif.bb autobackup.bb when you reload the build  enigma2-plugins.bb fails

Are you sure test1 branch meta-dream, test1 branch openpli-oe-core and git submodules are up to date?

 

Run in openpli-oe-core:

make update
cd meta-dream
git pull origin test1

Tested a build from scratch dm7080, no problem. except rtl891eu due to license checksum.

 

The only thing way openwebif fails to compile, is due to missing hosttools in meta-dream/conf/layer.conf

#Include subversion, mercurial, msgfmt(gettext) and zip to hosttools
HOSTTOOLS += "svn hg msgfmt zip"

But if your meta-dream test1 branch is up to date you have that.

Why don't you add depends to unzip-native and you are adding zip to hosttools?
