If you can, I would like to submit my suggestions:

Infobar

1. Dolby Digital is not always 5.1 - it is suggested to replace the 5.1 icon with DolbyDigital

2. I suggest adding DolbyDigital+, MPEG and AAC icons

To indicate the audio icon (5.1), I use a converter (ServiceInfo.pyo) that comes with the image. In this converter there is no such separation for each audio.

For example, what can be indicated: IS_MULTICHANNEL = 1 or  IS_STEREO = 27 this is for the audio

For stereo I have not put an icon, it just does not indicate anything.

I think this remark has been made before. This information is not parsed from the stream, and requires changes to Enigma's C++ DVB code.

Sharp use my GlamourAudioInfo converter and GlamAudioIcon renderer along with the icons you'll create (the name of each icon is required as it is). It works flawlessly with all codecs used in streams, including even vorbis! The code is on github!

That was my suggestion as well, to which Littlesat seemed to respond willingly. But not heard from him about this since.

 

Anyway: other suggested functionality like weather forecasts should IMHO never be embedded in E2 (as it is not related to the main function of the STB, namely reception of television signals).

I found a small bug.

 

If the picon is saved as a name, eg vh1.png, zdfhd.png, etc. is not displayed on the right side (photo). Only the default picon is displayed.

If the picons are saved as references, for example: 1_0_19_30D5_413_1_C00000_0_0_0.png - they are displayed correctly.

This problem is not in the infobar (both types are displayed).

I know about it. The file that I use to display the picon in Channel Selection is render="AeonFHDPicon2". This file shows the picon only by reference, not by name. AeonFHDPicon2 does not come with the image.

I full heartedly disagree.
An image for a receiver should never have any functionality embedded that's not receiver related. I don't have such a box for a weather forecast, but for receiving, recording and playing TV-shows.

Anybody who would like do do anything more then that, should use plugins, and not 'enforce' such nonsense to all users. And that 'enforcing' is one of the reasons I don't like images like ATV & VTi.

I think when someone switches channels, they have to see a picture, not to fill the picture with any information. For this reason, I have set the weather forecast in the second infobar. It can also be done in the infobar, but perhaps in the next update of the skin.
