Hi Guys, 

 

It took me quite a while to get a stable stream for USTVNow, but since a few day's I got finally the conditions right to watch US-TV Channels without freezes.. 

 

The plugin that is placed here has a basic that comes back from a few years. Last summer I'd wanted to place the code online, but then unfortionaly USTVNow has changed the API so watching was impossible. 6 months ago I found some code from TSMedia to watch USTVNow on the receiver, but the disadvantage is that you need the plugin TSMedia to watch the channels. 

 

So.. with some help the plugin is back in action again. But.. it need some minor changes to make it more smoothly to use. 

I am asking for your help to make this plugin more useable.

 

The GUI should change the quality to whatever you want.. but unfortunately, this recognised by the code.

 

 

config.USTVNOW.quality = ConfigSelection(default = "4", choices = [("1", _("Low")), ("2", _("Mid")), ("3", _("High")), ("4", _("HD"))])

 

 

 

This is currently to working. The stream stay's in Low quality.

 

How to use:

1. First place the content of the ustvnow.zip file to folder: /usr/lib/enigma2/python/Plugins/Extensions/Ustvnow/

2. Install the plugin: ServiceApp 

3. Adjust the ServiceApp settings to:- Enigma2 playback system: serviceapp

- Enigma2 playback system: serviceapp

- Player: exteplayer3

- HLS Explorer must be set on true

4. Restart enigma2

 

5. Go to the website: www.ustvnow.com and make a new account. Use the free ($0.00) version to watch the free to view channels

6. Activate the account via e-mail

7. Use the plugin: menu\plugins\USTVnow and enter your e-mail address and password. 

8. Use green to save the settings.. and/or OK to create a bouquet.

 

9. A few seconds are needed to create a new Bouquet USTVNow with 7 US-TV Channels:

ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX, CW, My9, PBS

 

Note: To watch the TV Channels, once a day at 11.00 CET the URL's are changed, so then you need to reload the Channel's with the usage of the plugin. 

 

Note: The account is active for 45 day's to watch the channels in HD and via streaming option. After 45 day's, you only can watch the channels at the website: www.ustvnow.com.. But.. I created a new account.. and continue to watch the channels.. -> You need a new e-mail address of course.

Remark:

With the usage of gstreamer 1.8.3 the stream was working fine.. but since 1.12.0 and 1.12.1 the stream had difficulty to buffer.

With 1.12.2 it is not possible to watch the USTVNow channels... Something is breaking the HLS streams.

I noticed also buffering streams problems many times with openpli 6 and gstramer 1.12.0 not for ustivnow live steams but for many types of streams,sometimes the box hangs with running spinner and need to reboot for exit.

i didnot not see this with same steams in earlier versions of gstreamer

The Plugin tells me always "No Srvices found" although I put in my email an password. I can use it on the webpage of ustvnow. Is this not working with OpenATV?

Do you get 7 channels in the download?

Note, you must update the settings list at least once a day.

Hi I have tried and it is not possible.
Only foxx works. ABC, CBS, CW, NBC, PSP, MY9. does not work.
I have tried their website and there I have the same problem.
Can you help me solve the problem.

Witch receiver and firmware are you using?

I am running this plugin with any problem om an Zgemma H5, Mutant HD2400 and Xtrend ET10k.. All with OpenPLi 6

Also.. if you go to www.utvnow.com.. can you watch the channels without any problems?

If it works fine on the website.. I am also interested in the logging results.

 

Can you also put the results of the loggin when you select a ustvchannel when it is not working..

 

Do the following command:

Init 4

ENIGMA_DEBUG_LVL=4 GST_DEBUG=*soup*:6,*dvb*:6 enigma2

Step 3 is important to have a stable stream. Since gstreamer 1.12.x the continues stream has difficulty to keep up the data stream.

I hope that this issue will be solved in a future release of gstreamer.

Last week I've made a ipk filer the USTVNow plugin.

Ofcouse Step 1 isn't needed with the ipk file..

I've the same Problem!

 

I'm using OpenATV on a OSMIni. With the IPTV Player Plugin I can use USATVNOW, but the USATV-Now plugin tells 

me "No Services found". 

Watching on the webpage works fine. 

 

It would be great if a solution could be found because I would very much like this plugin to watch!

I can not tell how it works with OpenATV. Dit you get at least 7 channels with a download? And did you release the settings (every day)?

No, sadly it doesn't even create a bouqet. (Or does it immediately delete it after finding no services?)

 

Maybe in OpenATV miss a module thats needed for the plugin? I searched for python-jason, but that is working in OpenATV. Or is it just a problem with permissions? Hmmm

If it isn't creating a bouquet, then I think that your account isn't active / activated. You must have a legitimate ustvnow account active to watch the 7 free channels.

It works at the internet page and with the (polish?)  IPTV Player Plugin. Seems to be a Open ATV Problem?!
