Any chance of adding USA channels to source list. Im running a headend setup and can send my lamedb list for channel and service id of the channels. Thanks

I do not do USA channels.

The only exception are the AFN channels, and some channels which can be received in Europe legally via IPTV.

Up to now these included the channels broadcasted by USTVnow. However since the plug-in does not assign the service refs anymore, or is not working in most cases. I am thinking of removing even these channels.

Hi!

I have also problems with getting RytecEPG working.

I have selected

Rytec General XMLTV: News Channels, Erotic Channels, AFN, Rytec Miscellaneous XMLTV

Rytec Sweden XMLTV: Grundlaggande (Basic) (xz) , Diverse (xz) and Sport/Filmer (xz)

I don't know whats is wrong. I have unstalled EPGImport ant the RytecEPG plugins rebooted the box check if the folder was gone in the Plugins folder, that the folder EPGImport was gone in /etc/. Rebooted the box again. Then I reinstalled the two plugins, upgraded all the python files mentioned in earlier posts. But I still got channel xxx unknown.
When I look in the /etc/epgimport folder there are only two file in it: rytec.channels.xml and ignore conf. No rytec.channels.xml file
I think that the channels can't be linked correct, problably because the service ref is missmatching

I have tried with PLI's old satellites.xml from march, I have also tried with a new PLI satellites.xml from a few days ago and did a new channel search again but I still got the same sat ref.
I found an old rytec.channel.xml file and it was in that file I saw that SVT1 HD and the others channels had diffrent service ref's and SVT1 HD - Text had also the old channal name. It was changed again in august I belive.

I have also installed EPGImportFiler plugin and have done all the settings and selected the same Rytec choices as above, selected all my bouquets lists and when I choose advanced I got the messages (down to the right) : "No download links found in /etc/epgimport/rytec.sources.xml"

So what should I do now?
Sorry for my bad english and all the misspellings.

Hi,

First of all you don't need to replace any python file manually, if you have done so pleaser reinstall the version from the feed.

The: unknown channels are totally useless information that I already think to remove because it just confuse end-users and doesn't bring any valuable information.

When EPG data is properly set into memory nothing is displayed in the log, so don't care about those: unknown channel.

You have the good reaction, give the channel name and service reference so Doglover can check if he still have the good reference.

The channels with service ref's was only a few of all channels that was "unknown".

The python files that I upgraded was mention in another thread about RytecEPG.

The files that where listed there are:

libc6_2.25-r0_mips32el.ipk

liblzma5_5.2.2-1_mipsel.ipk

liblzma5_5.2.2-r0_mips32el.ipk

python-lzma_0.0.8-r0_mips32el.ipk

python-pkgutil_2.7.3-r5.3_mips32el.ipk

xz_5.2.0-r0_mips32el.ipk

Either I didn't have that version or I didn't have it.

They were not in the feed either. So I had to find them in other forums.

Now I have them installed but the RPG doesn't work anyway.

So what shhould I do?

The RytecRPG work a few weeks ago, but stopped working after a upgrade when satellites.xml was replaced and I had to do a new channel search and also make new bouquets.

As I wrote earlier have have downloaded a new PLI satellites.xml file that I found a link to in another thread. But a new channel search didn't replaced the old "wrong" channels.

Should I delete the bouquets files and the lamedb files and then do a new channel search again or what?

Could I have wrong settings for my tuners, I don't know if they are correct or wrong.

I have a Dreambox HD8000PVR with 4 S2 tuners

My satellites are 0.8W (Operator Canal Digital Nordic) and 4.8E (Viasat)

Let me explain the term Unknown Channel.

An unknown channel is channel which is not present in the channels file, or in the lamdeb file.

An example will make this clearer:

The import plug-in reads an XMLTV file and finds in there channels. f.i one channel_id is called 4music.uk. The plug-in will look now in the channels file (f.i. rytec.channels.xml) and tries to find service references in there to which that EPG will to be assigned. If it cannot find any channel_id named 4music.uk, this is called an Unknown channel.

If a service ref is found, the plug-in will now check if this service ref is present in the lamedb (in fact checking if you can watch the channel). If the service ref is in lamedb, again the channels is called Unknown, and the EPG will not be loade into memory for this channel. In the example for 4music.uk

For IPTV (the service refs with an http extension) this last step is skipped, and the EPG is loaded in memory anyway.

For the service refs you provided:

SVT1 HD - Text 1:0:19:1D8C:1B:46:E08ABD0:0:0:0:

We have

1:0:19:1D8C:1B:46:E080000:0:0:0:

SVT1 HD : 1:0:19:1D7F:1B:46:E08ABD0:0:0:0:

We have

1:0:19:1D8C:1B:46:E080000:0:0:0:

TV3 HD (S): 1:0:19:115E:18:46:E082C1D:0:0:0:

We have

1:0:19:115E:18:46:E080000:0:0:0:

TV3 HD (S) - Text: 1:0:19:46:99:18:46::E082C1D:0:0:0:

CMore First HD: 1:0:19:CEA:E.46:E082AB6:0:0:0:

We have

1:0:19:CEA:E:46:E080000:0:0:0:

As you can see, the namespace is different. So the references do not match.
How is it possible you have a different service ref from everybody else?

Possible, you loaded a dodgy setting list. In this case try rescanning the satellite again. After rescanning, import EPG, and look in the All channels bouquet if you now have EPG for these channels

Secondly, you have enabled the option: Only load EPG for channels in bouquets.
In this case the service ref has to match exactly. Which it obviously does not do. Try disabling this option, and import again.

I also strongly advise to install the EPGimport plug-in and EPGimport-rytec from the feed.

Last. De-install EPGimport filter. This program, does a good job, but when you are still trying to grabthe basics of EPGimporting, it can disturb things. If you understand EPGimport better and have the basics working, you can try this plug-in again.

Willy

PS: which version of OpenPLi are you using? I strongly suggest, using OpenPLi 6.2

Hi!

I have a Dreambox HD8000PVR with 4 S2 tuners,

Satellites:

LNB1: 0.8W Ku-band Thor 5/6/7 & Intelsat 10-02 (Operator Canal Digital Sweden)

LNB2: 4.8E Ku-band Astra 4A

Tuner A and B: BCM4501,

Tuner C and D: BCM4505

image: *OpenPLI 6.2 ,

build date: 2018-06-25,

Last upgrade: 2018-09-24

Enigma version: 2018-09-04,

Python version: 2.7.12

I have installed EPGimport plug-in and EPGimport-rytec from the feed several times.

First I installed EPGimport plug-in and then EPGimport-rytec from the feed, but that didn't work so then I uninstalled them rebooted the box and then I checked if there was any leftovers and if there was any I deleted them and then I rebooted the box again and started all over again with the same result. Now I have done this at least seven times (installing the 2 plugins from the feed) and the EPG is not working.

So what shall I do?

Where can I find/download a correct satellites.xml?

Should I delete the lamedb files, the satallites.xml file and all the bouquets or what shall I do?

Witch settings should I have for my 4 tuners?

See the attached file SVT1 HD - Text-2292018-1848 for the tuner settings I have now.

I don't know what "SCPC optimized search range" and "Force Legacy signal stats"

I have as I wrote earlier 4 S2 tuners and on the dish I have 2 quad lnb's with 4 separete cables each via a switch and from the 4 switches separate cables for each tuner.

LNB1: 0.8W, LNB2: 4.8E

The 2 versions of satellites.xml I've have tried with earlier was the old PLI satellites.xml that came with the image and after a upgrade from the feed the EPG stopped working so I tried to uninstall the plugins reoot and then install them agin with the same result at least five times, so then I downloaded a new PLI satellites.xml made 2018.09.23,

I have also attached the two diffrent satellites.xml I have tried. satellites_new.xml is the one I downloaded from the link below.

If that one is wrong, where can I get a correct new one?

thread: https://forums.openp...=satellites.xml post # 43

"For the XML files: https://github.com/OpenPLi/tuxbox-xml "

@Abu,

You can find the update done on the 6.2 branch from those links:

https://github.com/O...its/release-6.2

https://github.com/O...its/release-6.2

For the XML files:

https://github.com/OpenPLi/tuxbox-xml

The plugin have no specific branch for 6.2 so if a plugin is updated it will be rebuild and provided during the 6.2 online update.

Pr2

Hope you could help me to configure my tuners correct for PLI images and what and how I shall do after configured the tuners correct. download file? delete files?

best regards

nisse

The above all sound very healthy. I cannot find anything wrong with it.

So where do these unusual service refs come from?

You do not say so, but have you installed a settinglist, or did you scan the satellites by yourself?

I cannot scan 0.8W or 4.8E by myself, since I do not have a dish pointed to them.

However, I tried obtaining the service ref from KingOfSat with Dreamset.

These service refs look quite normal. I have attached a bouquet to this post.

I would ask you, to copy this bouquet (or import it it with dreamboxedit, and save it to your receiver) to /etc/enigma2/ on you receiver.

Reload the setting list with the command:

wget -qO - "http://127.0.0.1/web/servicelistreload?mode=2"

in a telnet window.

(or just restart your receiver.)

Now test if these channels open on your receiver. With other words, do you have reception, and can you watch these channels?

If yes, importing EPG would attach EPG to these channels.

I have done an autumatic scan my self, with the tunersettings in the attachment in my last post. I have not used any settingslist, all settings list that 'I can get via the feed is for 13-19 and so on.

The service ref is found.

zap to a channel (SVT1HD

press menu->information-service

I have attached some of them.

What does the two bottom settings mean in the tuner configuation window?

SCPC optimized search range?

Force legacy stats?

I will try your bouquet file

I do not know (never seen it), but a Google search yielded this:

Single channel per carrier (SCPC) refers to using a single signal at a given frequency and bandwidth. Most often, this is used on broadcast satellites to indicate that radio stations are not multiplexed as subcarriers onto a single video carrier, but instead independently share a transponder.

This could be your problem. Try setting this on a different value. And scan only one frequency, and examine the result in the last scanned bouquet.

I checked this setting on my own receiver, and can not find this setting. It is not there.

I have made a settinglist from kingofsat with e-channelizer for 0.8W and 4.8E

I have not done anything to the order of the channels, Just placed the Nordic countries on top of the list.

In this settinglist, the service refs are as they are supposed to be.

Maybe you can give it a go. Save your present settingslist somewhere, So just in case, you need to put it back.

Hi guys,

Have the URL's changed at all?

Always used the ipservers links but they stopped working a couple of days ago.

Thanks

We have 5 servers. And in EPGimport these servers are used at random. Also when one does not answer, it automatically takes another server.

The server are sometimes changed, with a new URL as a consequence. In EPGimport this is no problem, the rytec.sources.xml is updated then. If a user does not update immediately this is not a problem as he has 4 servers left to download from.

However all those Kodi users, call only download from one server. And if that one goes off-line, they have a problem.

And yes the ipservers location has changed name.

And no, I am not going to publish the new name.

However all those Kodi users, call only download from one server. And if that one goes off-line, they have a problem.

Especially if they use mine, as I actively block Kodi. ;)

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Ultimate (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.
