Good

Posted 15 August 2017 - 15:15

Today I chose to do a clean install (RC6 14--8-17) and manualy add my settings, plugins etc. All good so far.

It didn't pick up the static ip set in the router (DHCP server) and chose a random free one. Couldn't find how to change this during setup.Easily sorted later manualy.

I liked the options to install plugins during install :)

From Win8.1-64 I could connect via telnet and ftp, but not browse via the "File Explorer" even though I had NO problems connecting to the "sh1" on the same network.

Eventualy after much rebooting of both PC & STB it was good.

So the final part to do was init 4 copy timers.xml & autotimers.xml and init 3.

Result: STB stuck on RC6 splash screen. LED display showing last channel

Oopses in the dmesg can never be the result of "normal" conditions. You can start enigma as many times as you want, you can fork as many processes as you want, you'll never get an OOPS in the syslog.

OOPS in the syslog means:

- hardware issue

- driver bug

- linux kernel bug

There are no real other possibilities.

Thanks Eric for taking the time to have a look. I was thinking as much, and was the reason I didn't inlude it in the main RC6 thread. Its been fine since last post.

Can someone tell me if this is normal, BogoMIPS ?

Yes, both CPU's can be differently loaded at BogoMips calculation time, so their value may differ, we see that more often. It does not have any negative impact.
