Excellent

As said before, I am clueless. We've already established that the ftp connection works fine from another device.

Last debug option I can think of: edit /etc/vsftpd.conf op the 4K, and add

xferlog_file=/var/log/vsftpd.log
xferlog_enable=YES
xferlog_std_format=NO
log_ftp_protocol=YES

restart the box, and try the connection again from the Solo2 to the 4K.

After this try, you should have a vsftpd.log file in /var/log on the 4K. Could you upload that here?

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Pro (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

Many answers to your question can be found in our new and improved wiki.

So there are two different devices mixed in that log? That is not very handy.

Ok, so I should start reading at

Wed Aug 16 19:07:42 2017 [pid 1695] CONNECT: Client "192.168.0.6"

There is absolutely nothing in there that is related to remotestreamconverter. I see something checks that smells like Barry Allen, and then I see a transfer from the log files on the box.

Why did you do that? Did you restart all devices in your LAN afterwards? At least restart the router.

I found why I could not connect.
The server has a password, I put it and now it works. :D
We can say that it is resolved. ;)
Thank you for your help. :)

remotestreamconvert needs both ftp and web server access. So if you put a password on the webif, it won't work. I am not completely happy with that and I told the creator of the plugin some time ago.

I don't read PM -> if you have something to ask or to report, do it in the forum so others can benefit. I don't take freelance jobs.
Ik lees geen PM -> als je iets te vragen of te melden hebt, doe het op het forum, zodat anderen er ook wat aan hebben.

That password is exactly the thing why I did not complete a fallback tuner setting sync... I
Can make it, but then you need to add an user ID and password with the fallback tuner config. the need for the web interface is not required as the reload of the settings can also be done directly via a call in python.
