Hi,

When I am in a favorite I move on it quickly with the left-right arrows (to perform a kind of page up/page down) but when we are on the first screen of a favorite pressing the left arrow we are still on the first screen. What I would like is to be able to go to the last page of the favorite, so having a really circular move into the same favorite with both left and right arrows. Like we have with the up / down arrows it is possible to go quickly from the 1st entry to the last entry of a favorite.

This will make the arrows move in a favorite more user friendly and consistant, same behavior with all the arrows.

I fully support this request. UP/DOWN keys go in a circle while LEFT/RIGHT keys don't.

depends on RC style (Enigma or Neutrino), you may try CH+/CH- instead

In Neutrino style CH+/CH- does the trick, even >< (KEY_NEXT, KEY_PREVIOUS) is functioning, I get for >> << (forward, rewind) unhandled key, means these keys are free for use in channel selection

The request here is not to use Neutrino nor to use other keys to achieve this.

well I understood, just using arrow keys,, I have another similar question, pressing channel selection, then red for all services we get the big list, quick jump doesn´t work anymore, a few years ago was all ok, I mean pressing for example key "6" on RC should jump to services preceding "6" (if any) then "m", next press "n" and so on, does not work here with my box

Please if you have your own problem create your own thread, I test what you describe and I don't have the problem, for me 6mn works fine.

This thread is about having a circular rotation in the same bouquet/favorites with the left / right arrows with standard RCU mode (Enigma2) (it has nothing to do with the Neutrino style RCU possible in menu).

probably long press left/right in channel selection will do the job, needs changes in keymap.xml

I do not support this request. I prefer the current style (where page-wise scrolling stops when reaching the beginning or the end of the list) instead of endless loops. I believe the developers made a pretty good decision to program it this way.

Left means PageUp in list and Right means PageDown in list. Same as in text editors. It finishing always on top or bottom of text (in our case top/bottom in list) and it is 100% correctly!

There is no problem on top/bottom to use one up/down and then continue with left/right again... (workaround for up/down is configurable in skin)

Hi,

I can understand your point of view but here we are not in a text file, we are in a favorite list to zap channels. So this is not the same as a text file in a texteditor on a PC where you have a keyboard and a mouse/touchpad.

Anyway I can return you explanation, in a text editor when I am on the first line if I press the up arrow I didn't jump to the last line nor the opposite!

So which one is right?  The texteditor or the way you handle up/down arrow on the first/last line?  :)

When I open up the channel list, I press up arrow, if I am lucky I am in the middle of the 1st page, then I need to press left to go quickly on the 1st entry of the list, the I need to press Up again to go at the last page (so 3 press button).

With the suggestion, press the up arrow to open up the channel list, then press the left arrow to go to the last page (so 2 press button).

And of course this can also be made customizable by menu.   ;)   Everything is already there in code since with up arrow the list is already circular, should not be a big problem to extend it to left/right arrows.

Doesn't work like you describe, it jump from marker to marker in the favorite list.

So not a one button press since I use markers.

I have not been convinced why CH+ and CH- can operate in a closed circle while PAGE+ and PAGE- can't.

Please note we are talking about cursor movement when CHANNEL LIST is open.

That would save a couple of key presses and moving between one key and another, which we have to do now to achieve this.
