Hello, the VFD display os STB Edision OS Mega displayed maximum only 8 characters, but VFD has 12 positions. Which file is managing characters for LCD display on front panel? Please is it possible fix? Thank you very much.

in Menu > Setup > System > Display setup enable "Use 12 characters display mode" option

We defaulted it to yes on OpenVix. If I can remember we changed it, I shall submit a pull request.

The 12 character mode can only show ASCII characters. I don't think everybody will agree with that (I will, but that's not the point).

Thank you all for answer. But this options 8/12 characters on VFD is ONLY in image Open PLI 6.0, please can you add this option to image Open PLI 4.0 too ?
Only 8 characters in Cyrilic is a hardware limitations or any software problem ?? Thanks!!

OpenPLi 4 is in feature freeze, pending the release of OpenPLi 6.0, which is currently planned towards the end of the month.
Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Ultimate (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)
Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

Actually that scrolling should be solved in the drivers... Like XTrend it is doing already for years since 2011 or so... And other boxes are still doing. It is not done to push it in enigma2 for those boxes that do not support it from the drivers....

No, it will be supported (as in serious bug fixes, channel lists, picons, the xml files, etc), but it will not receive any new developments anymore. And for some boxes (dm500hd, dm7020hd, dm80se) it will be the last OpenPLi image.
End of support will be announced first, it will not happen unexpectedly.
