Is there any reason why I have to wait for about 30 - 90 seckonds after start up my Miraclebox for satelite signal?

Length of the cable between Miraclebox and DiSEqC that about 1m, between DiSEqC and LNB about 15-20m.

Tuner A+B: M88DS3103 (DVB-S2) » AMIKO Premium D-201 DiSEqC » Universal Twin LNBF (LXSAT81) » Hot Bird 13E whit SoftCam CCcam 2.3.0-r0.0 + Astra 28.2E

If you start your Miraclebox from the power switch, the box start and load the system and this takes some time. The faster the SoC is (CPU) the faster the box will boot.

If you use a softcam like OScam, it waits to have your STB to get the correct time (by default the time is taken from the transponder).

So when the box boot, it has a wrong time, then it receive the signal, then it adjust is time and then OScam can start properly.

Do you think using systemtime plugin would accelerate the start-up or rather the opposite?

Hi,

Systemtime is taking the time from the internet NTP server, so when the service is started it gets the right time to your box.

I install it now on every boxes that I have and it is working really fine, time is updated/controlled every hours towards the NTP server, for OScam starting time I think that this improve things.
