STB: Xtrend ET 10000

 

Image: OpenPLI 4.0

 

I'm trying to install Doscam via .ipk file but after "successful installation" it is not displayed in Softcam menu, as in I cannot select/activate it.

 

I've successfully installed and used Doscam in many other images without any problems.

 

Am I missing something?  Is some special procedure required for OpenPLI image?

Ask the one who gave you the doscam ipk file for use with OpenPLI.

I have limited experience with softcams and configs, but I find that for my local KabelDeutschland/Vodafone card it works the best.  I'm not sure which cards are supported by Doscam?

 

With Doscam, my card has always received entitlement updates.  I don't have to do anything!

 

As far as I understand, it's similar, if not identical to OSCAM, but without the need for config files.  OSCAM probably has the same if not more capability than Doscam, but I'm never 100% sure about the correct/current "configs" with OSCAM, so I prefer to use Doscam.  I just put the card in the receiver and forget about it.
