Hi everybody

I've recently buy a wireless usb adapter to make my vu+ zero wireless but it don't work on openpli 6.

It's a TP-LINK WN821N(EU) V5.0 and I think the chipset is RTL8192eu.

But it don't seem to be in the openpli 6 image I can see the rtl8192cu package but not the rtl8192eu.

The ID listed by lsusb is 2357:0107.

Can someone have the same problem or have the driver for this tp-link?

Thanks

Known issue. The VU+ boxes run on a very old kernel, it doesn't support new(ish) USB devices. Check what is supported first, before you buy something.

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Ultimate (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Thanks for your response  :)

Ok But i've seen that some people can rebuild the original linux driver for the vu+ zero?

And where can we find which are supported?

That is possible, but we don't have the time nor the resources to do that for every bit of hardware out there.

Besides that, kernel drivers are part of the BSP, and we don't maintain that, we use the BSP the manufacturer supplies to us. So you need to start maintaning your own BSP's as well if you want to add out of tree stuff...
