Hello
I have downloaded last openpli wetek play image from download.

When I do a

opkg update
opkg upgrade

lots of downloads and it stops with

Upgrading init-ifupdown from 1.0-r7.1 to 1.0-r7.2 on root.
Downloading http://downloads.openpli.org/feeds/openpli-4/cortexa9hf-vfp-neon/init-ifupdown_1.0-r7.2_cortexa9hf-vfp-neon.ipk.
Deconfiguring network interfaces... killall: smbd: no process killed
killall: nmbd: no process killed

Network becomes inresponsive and only option is to restart box.
After it does not boot anymore
happen twice in the same package

regards

Hi mocho,

I got similar issues on a DM800SE.

This is what I got from WanWizard:

'You're running the update in the middle of a build, so it could the feeds are in flux at the moment. This causes packages to be updated (so the old version isn't there anymore) but the package index files are only updated at the end of the build.'

We should wait.

BR

I doubt that those are related. The package downloads fine here.

During removal of the old package it deconfigures the network interface, and after that it needs to install the new package and configure the network interface again.

Problem here is that the TS uses the commandline to do it. The deinstall kills his commandline connection, which in turn kills the install process, leaving the box half configured. So update from the GUI, not from the commandline.

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Ultimate (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.
