Hallo,

when I upgrade my ET4000, I get the following error.

opkg_conf_set_option: Duplicate option lists_dir, using first seen value "/var/lib/opkg"

How can I fix that?

Thanks for your answer.

Best solution is to do a fresh flash (can include a backup).

Erik: what is the second best solution?

I've got that message on first opkg update command after a flash, except that my box is vu+duo2. Image is openpli-4-release-vuduo2-20171029_usb...

Regards.

Post the contents of the file /etc/opkg/opkg.conf here.

I suspect you're restoring a backup that corrupts this file.

@macnuts

Look at this:

https://forums.openp...-40-für-et9000/

Last row in /etc/opkg/opkg.conf is double!!

Pleas erase one raw.

@alabama: thank you, I haven't spotted it myself somehow.

@Erik: just flashing then setting password, setting date to current (so my local updates carry correct date), blocking ftp & telnet, and then the opkg update returned that error. But as alabama noted it was due to duplicated line in the opkg.conf file:

# Default destination for installed packages
dest root /
option lists_dir /var/lib/opkg
option lists_dir /var/lib/opkg

I tired to confirm that it is in opkg_0.2.4-r0.2_mips32el.ipk that way but for some reason ar x couldn't understand format.

It is duplicate in the package, so there's an error in the build process somewhere.

edit: can't quickly see where it's made, and public wifi s*cks here. Erik?

Think I've fixed it, if so, tonights build should introduce the fix in the updates (does mean that if you have this problem and you can't update, you need to remove the duplicate line manually one more time).

Apparently it's a result of the build process. But I can't remember having seen it before.

Neither have I.

But I can see the recipe just echo'ing the "option" line, appending it to the the file, which is not a very fail-safe way of adding something.

Anyway, in the current build it should be fixed.
