It is logical that it is a tiny bit slower, as you include debugging code. But it should not really be noticable on any decent box.
Besides that, your experience is rather weird since "init 3" calls "/usr/bin/enigma2.sh".

The line
LD_PRELOAD=$LIBS /usr/bin/enigma2has to become
LD_PRELOAD=$LIBS ENIGMA_DEBUG_LVL=4 /usr/bin/enigma2
As I thought, after that chance it runs without crashes for 3 days now. Also under havy duty, streaming clinets connected, recordings and fast channel switches included.
Only thing for me right now is, as already mentioned, the noticeable slowness.

Smells like a race condition in the code somewhere, it will not be easy to find.
After next week I will have some time to hook up my Duo2, and see if I can reproduce it.

Just to let you know. I switched to OpenPli 6.2-rc a couple of days ago. And now, without the activated debug level, it seems that everyting is running fine. No crashes within 5 days
