If it is not there, it is already installed.

Well, that's the problem that I did not, and that's why I was forced to return to 6.0.

Very weird, since it really is in the feeds:

[admin@openpli-dist mips32el]# cat Packages | grep cccam
Package: enigma2-plugin-softcams-cccam
Filename: enigma2-plugin-softcams-cccam_2.3.0-r0.0_mips32el.ipk
Source: enigma2-plugin-softcams-cccam_2.3.0.bb
Description: enigma2-plugin-softcams-cccam version 2.3.0-r0 CCcam 2.3.0 softcam
OE: enigma2-plugin-softcams-cccam

and the file exists too:

./feeds/openpli-6.1-rc/mips32el/enigma2-plugin-softcams-cccam_2.3.0-r0.0_mips32el.ipk

Obviously, only for mipsel based SoC's, there is no CCcam for ARM based SoC's.

In the version from November 26, 2017, there are no CCcam 2.3.0 in the plugs after the installation of December 8, 2017. CCcam is normally available. After returning to 26/11/2017 again missing. Images installed clean. Everything works now. I have tuner VU+ Solo2

Thank you for help and a nice weekend.

That is quite possible. RC images are test versions. Changes are that if you update the earlier one, you get the new feed URL's, but on the other hand, the 26/11 was one of the first, in a test image things can be broken.

just spotted my Windows can't mount solo4k drive since upgraded to 6.1RC (OSX can not either)

seems to be an ongoing smb issue - isn't it?

Shouldn't be the case anymore. You didn't restore an OpenPLi 4 version of the smb.conf file by any chance? Because those are not compatible.

Can you login to the box, and issue the command

/etc/init.d/samba.sh restart

does it stop and start properly?

root@vusolo4k:~# /etc/init.d/samba.sh restart
Stopping Samba: smbd nmbd.
Waiting for samba processes to die off...
Starting Samba: smbd nmbd.

simply reflashed and the autobackup kicked in automatically - do you think it overwrote the smb.conf?

Possible, but that shows samba was running, and starts again without problems. So the config on the box is fine.

What is the result of

net view \\<ip>

in a Windows command box, using the IP of your solo4k?

sorted now - something must have get messed up after the recent upgrade

brought it up from RC6.1 backup - samba works (so it was working after the fresh install and autobackup)

upgraded again (opkg upgrade) and samba still working (both MS and OSX)

wouldn't bother messing with it without your confirmation it should be good - thanks for that!

That is because it doesn't work that way. By manually deleting files installed by other packages you've created an inconsistency in the filesystem.

Samba consists of 4 packages, /etc/samba/smb.conf is part of samba-base, not of samba.

You can update minor releases on the box.

Like so: https://github.com/O...7c771130280a187

Should already be part of 6.1-RC. So if you are using 6.1-RC, a simple "opkg install samba-base --force-reinstall" should give you the correct smb.conf.

That was specific advice to @blunt, who manually deleted everything.

You need to check your /etc/samba/smb.conf. It needs to contain the lines that are added here: https://github.com/O...7c771130280a187. If you install a package but the file already exists, opkg will not overwrite it, so the reinstall won't fix anything for you.
