I have had this problem since v6. I have three computers, one can see the VU Ultimo 4K, the other two can not see it unless I use DCC to access it.

All of my computers are running windows 10 64 bit, but the one that can see the VU is running the pro version of win 10 64 bit,

On my friends notebook i can see my box on windows network.

Before all V6 versions, I could always see the VU on my network on all computers.

On my friends notebook i can see my box on windows network.

Then it's not an OpenPLi problem. And flashing another image will not fix it.

I still haven't received an answer on the effect of the commands I gave you. If you have a standard /etc/samba/smb.conf, it should have the lines

local master = yes
preferred master = yes

if not, you've restored a file that is not compatible, and you need to add these lines to the [global] section.

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Ultimate (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

In that case you should be able to see the box. If not, there might be an issue on your PC. Firewall on perhaps?

Has already been fixed in develop.

If you can't wait, login to your box, and execute

wget https://raw.githubusercontent.com/OpenPLi/enigma2/develop/lib/python/Screens/Dish.py -O /usr/lib/enigma2/python/Screens/Dish.py

and restart enigma when done.

OpenPLi rc 6.1 this month update for vu+ duo2

Nilesat 7.3 West is giving manual service scan error

While Nilesat 7 West manual service scan is working

Any solution

Thanks

We don't have 7.3W in out satellites.xml, only "7.0W Nilesat 201..Eutelsat 7 West A"

What error? Do you have your dish properly positioned? If not, it could well be it picks up 7.0W, but not 7.3W.

I tried this on my vu ultimo 4k and it didn't work for me.

Still no positioner movement icon.

But what if he has a motorised dish? Then 0.3 degrees discrepancy could make a difference in case of weak signal.

Our satellites.xml is generated from lyngsat.

Both Lyngsat and KingOfSat position Eutelsat 7 West A on 7.0W, not 7.3W. so it's clearly seen as one cluster, like de sats on 28.2/28.5 for example.

Perhaps Enigma didn't pick up the new version, try

rm /usr/lib/enigma2/python/Screens/Dish.pyo

to remove the old one, and restart enigma again.

If thst still doesn't fix it, Dimitij needs to have a look again.

With my Ultimo 4k with PLi 6.1rc the code worked perfectly. The disk picture is back when rotating the disk.

Strange. I am sure I typed it correctly and restarted enigma.

I even did a full restart.

OK, now working fine.

-O is an O not 0 as I thought. :D

Very happy now.

All I want now is to see my vu in my network.

It is strange that I can see it in one of my three computers all running win 10 64 bit.

The only difference is that the one that can see it is running pro version.

;)

Usually copy/paste works best in these cases.

As to Windows sharing, if you haven't made any custom shares on your box, I have a similar fix for you:

wget https://raw.githubusercontent.com/OpenPLi/openpli-oe-core/rc/meta-openpli/recipes-connectivity/samba/samba/smb.conf -O /etc/samba/smb.conf

note, again, O and not zero! :)

After this fix you need to restart the box.

Previously for many years I was using 7.3W Nilesat

Any how, I will use "7.0W Nilesat 201..Eutelsat 7 West A" as they the same channels.

Thanks
