No, rc's can't be upgraded. After flashing a rc, you alwayst must do flash.

Maximum available resolution in kodi is 720, when E2 works in 1080 or 2160. It's a limitation of the drivers or something else?

Last nights RC build failed for some reason, feeds look incomplete, so updating and installing might be an issue...

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Pro (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

Thanx. Between stable version (eg. 6.0 -> 6.1) it will be possible?

yes online flash works good i have test it last night, but i have one cosmetic problem with it as following;

i didn't use autobackup plugin an so i deinstall it already after a new flash.

if i use now online flash in step one  it comes the following picture (picture one);

Attached File  ofgwrite_one.jpg   76.16KB   14 downloads

and by step two the second picture looks as following;

Attached File  ofgwrite_two.jpg   117.94KB   13 downloads

till here all is good and correct, but look at the last picture (picture three) for step three;

Attached File  ofgwrite_three.jpg   133.94KB   13 downloads

you can see in it the error message "Unabele to backup settings as the AutoBackup plugin is missing"

but earlier as you can see in picture two i selected "Yes, without backup" so in this case the error message in picture three is unnecessary.

Which folder do i have to backup to get my manual installed plugins automatically back and is there still a "normal" update function as in 6.0?

i think for that it's the best if you have your manual plugins in a directory on a usb-stick which is always connected on your box

and then you write a script that you start with hotkey or ppanel after new flash and restore your settings - i have so and it's very comfortable.

and is there still a "normal" update function as in 6.0?

yes

ok, yes i can post my script, but it's really an example because i install respectively restore with it other things too as following;

plugins from feed,

packages from feed as hddtemp or autofs,

plugins from usb-stick,

two files from usb-stick because they are overwritten by the default files from autofs and hddtemp install

and also i deinstall threee plugins with it which i didn't use.

so you can use it as example, and must adjust it for you (comments and echos and so in it are in german language)

and very important is that you adjust in line 9 in the script the uuiid for your usb-stick because it makes first a temporarily mount in mountpoint /media/plugin_install

i use it with plugin ppanel (not with hotkey) and if the script start first it close the windows from ppanel and a bit later it starts with a message on tv.

with hotkey you can also use it, but maybe then you must also adjust the lines 28 - 30 for close the windows - this lines;

$WGET -q -O - $BOXIP/web/remotecontrol?command=352 && \
$WGET -q -O - $BOXIP/web/remotecontrol?command=174 && \
$WGET -q -O - $BOXIP/web/remotecontrol?command=174

Can i use the internal hdd also?

sure but you must adjust the script for it and then you didn't need the temporarily mount.

i attach it for download

Two remarks regarding RC1:

1- The VU HbbTV-plugin still caan't be installed (tested on Ultimo, see screenshot). Not sure if this is worth mentioning regarding PLi's work-in-progress on a generic plugin

2- It would be nice if the current online flash functionality could be extended with:

a- flash from a local file (e.g. for flashing a previously made image backup)

b- create an image backup

As it is now one still needs a plugin for these basic functionalities.

The online flash still needs a media (e.g. harddisk or USB stick) to download and unpack the image. It sounds that the message for not having the media is a bit wrong as it only pointed to the backup.

Yep, that's one of the plugins that can be used.
