A logical reason would that they've been used in the past (maybe even enigma"1" era) and they would stay compatible.


* Wavefrontier T90 with 28E/23E/19E/13E via SCR switches 2 x 2 x 6 user bands

Maybe I could have worded the question better. Obviously they would have been used at some point. What I was really asking was what channel specific functions were abandoned.
