Hey at all  !!!!

I've OpenPli 6.1 installed on a VU+ Uno .

First I had PICON Folder and swapfile installed on a USB Key on the back of the VU+ , worked fine.

But as I wanted more flashmemory , I've installed Plugin Flashexpander and extension on the USB key , after that also Swapfile , both works fine.

But as now the USB Key has the EXT4 Format , I no longer am able to copy the folder "PICON" on the usb key with my PC under Windows 10 (format Ext4 is no longer recognized from Windows).

I've tried to create two partitions on the USB Key , one with EXT4 format and the other with FAT32 , but couldn't do it.Would that be the solution or is there another way to get all this working together?

Thank's a lot for your help.

Hi,

Connect to the box in FTP from your PC and transfer the file with FTP to the USB key connected your VU+.

You will find it under /media/usb/

create a picon folder and copy your picons in there.

That's probably the easiest way for you to copy your picons to your USB key.

FTP:

https://filezilla-project.org/

Use client version.

Install the Device Manager by Dimitrij and you can partition the USB stick in 2 partitions in the box, format them the way you want, mount.

Alternatively, in Windows, use Mini Tool Partition manager to create 2 partitions in various formats. Freeware.

Smaller (at least 1/2 GB) for Flash Expander. Nothing else goes there.

Bigger one is for EPG, picons, SWAP file etc. Not to be sent to HDD, i.e. a device with moving parts.

Use SWAP Manager to do that part...

Use the Path Set plugins to send them to where you want them to go.

Good luck!

On the left panel you need to click on media and then usb.

You didn't open up the /media folder.

The right panel is your local disk on your PC.

Try Filezilla instead of DCC.

Hello !

as I couldn't access either with DCC or Filezilla on my USB Key , I've used gorski suggested " mini tool Partition" , created 2 partitions on the usb key , one in Ext4 the other in FAT 32 ,

put my PICON folder on FAT 32 and Flashextension and swapfile on Ext4.

Everything works perfectly now !

Thanks at both of you !!!
