After this is been merged and built into the feeds for the nightly builds, users can simply install the "iptvplayer-deps"-package from the extensions-section in the plugin browser.

Then IPTV Player will pass the initial wizard in one go, without asking questions.

I hit an issue, when using enigma2-plugins/enigma2-plugin-extensions-iptvplayer-deps instead  of SSS precompiled binaries,
this is how the story goes:
1) I'm used to use mx3l's aac transcode patch to dvbmediasink to to enjoy multi-channel aac audio through my vintage ampli
2) when used SSS precompiled additional binaries everything was ok
3) recently  I updated my main stb (runing latest develop) and decided to try iptv-player-deps package - plugin installation went great - no prompts for installling necesssary packages, however -
4) after that, every stream I tried to play had only [pcm]undefined audio. no multichannel sound
5) as soon as I removed --autoremove iptvplayer-deps package, and running iptvplayer 'manual' installation everything went back to normal - [aac] returned (?)

any idea what's the cause?
gst or dvbsink etc. is definitely not my piece of cake, but if you'd like to get some more input, I can try to help, as much as I'm able to...

thanks !

ok, sorted things out, nothing wrong with iptvplayer-deps packages

it was exteplayer3 which is set as active by default after installation, that disabled aac to ac3 transcoding done by dvbmediasink plugin + gstreamer1.0-libav (which is understandable);

as soon as I switch to gstplayer as active one, everything works as expected...

sorry for the confusion ;)

Curious: can you make exteplayer3 make do the same thing by changing its sub-settings inside the IPTV Player settings?

Well, I just installed PurE2 v. 6.2 in my Zgemma H7S and all is great!

I even installed the package for IPTV Player, then IPTV Player itself and guess what? It worked, no need for additional checks/detections, then choosing a correct FFMPEG package for it etc. It's very simple now! Bravo SSS, athoik, MastaG and all involved! :) Especially to Delfi and Franc, for additional PurE2 coding and skinning, specifically for IPTV Player, thanx to being pestered by yours truly, hehe... :D :D :D

Kodi works great with Covenant, also!!!! Etc. etc. etc.

Brill!!! ;) :)

Update: anyone else has problems playing full, normal DVDs (.VOB files) from NAS (NFS), using IPTV Player (eplayer3, no buffering)? Pixelation etc. Unwatchable, sadly.

We are talking IPTV Player on Zgemma H7S. However, if you use FILE LIST button and internal player - all is great!

Cheers!

I am building iptvplayer and iptvplayer-deps on rocko branch-building and work ok on my ET11000.But when change on sumo branch-build ok,but not work.Start plugin-A fatal error. The plugin is not supported on your platform. It turns out the plug-in does not see the installed components.Suggests installing dependencies that are already in the system.
