How can I add a new satellite to OpenPLi v6.1?

I am using a VU Ultimo 4K.

Specifically, I want to add 1.9E, BulgariaSat-1.

According to Lyngsat this satellite is not yet active. Although this position is often used for park if before it's sent to the graveyard orbit, so it may also mean it's on it's end.

Anyway, as Lyngsat says no active transponders, the satellites.xml file won't include this position. Try again when Lyngsat says there are.

There are currently active transponders but I wasn't aware that this position was a test position. :D

According to bulgariasat website....

It is expected tomorrow BulgariaSat-1 to propel itself toward its
final position at geostationary orbit. BulgariaSat-1 will be located at the
Bulgarian orbital position at 1.9° East longitude.

So it's on its position.

Lyngsat is often late as regards less popular satellite positions.

Lyngsat is often late as regards less popular satellite positions.

It's not always the fastest, but it doesn't matter.

Any chance of this satellite being added now as it is now on Lyngsat.

I did try to add it myself using enigma2-plugin-extensions-ts-sateditor but got screen green of death when trying to save the added sat. :(

Attach your xml file too. It might have an error.

I seem to recall ( Itried this over a week ago) that ts-sateditor reported that it could not find an xml file, so I attempted to create a new one including 1.9E but when saving I got the Green Screen of Death.

I will look to see if the crash log is still there as I delete them every so often.

"this satellite"? Bulgariasat? It was added on December 12th: https://github.com/O...5457cde5730cb5c

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Pro (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

Many answers to your question can be found in our new and improved wiki.
