With -W30 my Uno 4K working OK 

but Ultimo 4K not 

for Ultimo 4K I have to use -W80 or -W100

I see this type of dongle is really interesting as it can receive a lot of frequencies....

Yes, you can use it as a poor man spectrum analyzer.

you can hear the airplane communication and see a flight of airplanes around (android and win progs)

you can see the ships, track the mesiges on the P2000 in NL .

Much is possible with a good antenna.

I've been listening to USA, Australia at Amateur Frequencies with this USB dongle + UP converter,

all I have installed inside the UP converter box.

 

All works from few Khz to 1.7 Ghz

Don't use newer library, it will cause problems to all binaries.

You have to wait a long , but then you know if this is a problem with synchronization.

 

 

Same results.

 

I have tried on SF4008 too , and same results too...

I have a similar problem with VU + Ultimo 4K

It works first  time after enigma restart or resiver start without any problems.

But not later if i start plugin again. 

 

I have think that the RTL-SDR does not come on the right frequency

and synchronization has already started with bad SNR. (0,1 or 2 SNR)

Normaly is about 10 if synced.

 

With Uno 4K SE, the same image and RTL SDR (all is the same) work constantly without any problems.

 

 

 

I do not know if @athoik has an answer to this.

I have no idea why offset is not stable.

No idea why it behaves differently on boxes from same manufacturer.

Maybe the sdrdab has better syncronization, but is not stable yet. I guess if welle.io stabilize sdrdab we can use it too!

Now it crashes, even with raw samples, so something really wrong on library.

Anyway since the ppm didn't worked, I add another option on dab-sdgradio, the -k to force the "right" Khz offset.

-k khzOffset use khzOffset to correct initial tuning offset

With Ultimo 4K

 

I do not think it's a problem with amplification (max gain or medium not much difference)

I also think it's not a problem with the frequency (and my RTL SDR has a very little frequency deviation)

and it is possible to test with the variable frequency with the remote

but it does not help.

 

Mainly the problem is in synchronization and detection.

If I set -W to 100 (long wait) then it works 80%.

However, with lower values it does not work or it works very badly.

 

The problem is that the wait time is too long.

 

It's strange that with UNO 4K SE it works very well.

 

Of course, I do not rule out that the users of other receivers

and a cheaper RTL-SDR (without stabilized frequency)

have problems with frequency precision.

If i find time i wil test the Chinese RTL SDR with Uno 4K SE

and compare with good one.

But welle.io is not the same as dab-cmdline!

Maybe it's dab-cmdline issue, I can't tell it for sure.

Unfortunately the welle.io doesn't work on console, it requires QT and X.

If there is another library we can use, just let us know.
