Open-pli 6.0 , 6.1 for vu+uno 4k

Hello ,

Hello,   my device is Vu+ uno 4k  receiver .. I want to use .Open-pli 6.0 , 6.1 images  ..but I'm living some problems..
 I download  OPEN-pli 6.0  for vu+ uno 4k .. And I plug 160 gb hp HDD by using usb ..(External)

Mount manager , Device manager downloaded ,  and prepared as ext4  format ..  Rec and Timeshift are working ..

  When I restart the receiver  and push for rec (red small button) or timeshift ...     'HDD  is lost'  is written on screen.. Again ext4 format , No .. 'Device is mounted'  written..

 Where is the problem?

 

On the other hand  , When I plug HDD , extension openwebif  is lost .. and doesn't work ...

 

 Blackhole 3.0.3  ,3.0.4  , Blackhole 1.0   images  are working stable  ..They have no this problem..

What did you use the mount manager for? USB devices don't need any help to be mounted?

 

And I don't see what the relation is between a USB device and the webif?

I don't  know .. When I plug HDD to receiver ..Openwebif  extension  gives error ... and  extensions have no openwebif.. Usually  timeshift  doesn't work  .. ıt says stop...

I'm using openmultiboot 1.38.. Flash >open Atv 6.1 , in usb open-pli 6.1 ,6.0 , openblackhole 1.1 , 4.1  ,..vs

Ah...

 

OpenPLi doesn't really support multiboot, chances are it is caused because of another image in flash. It is an illusion that images are compatible (enough) to cross-boot. They aren't.

Thank you ..I don't think so ..But  I will try it  in flash ...  OBHole 1.0 and 4.1 work stable for multiboot.. There is no problem..

That doesn't really say anything.

 

Fact remains we don't support Multiboot. If you have the problem without Multiboot, we might have a look. But then we still need to know exactly what you are doing, because you don't need a mount manager for USB devices.

Hello , If I flash  only  open-pli image on  receiver , works stable ...I have no problem without multiboot.. If I  download open-pli image on usb as multiboot .. Woovvv ..HDD ProbIems appaer ..Openwebif is lost..

Is  there any  open-pli image    that has multiboot   for  main image  on flash?

You keep repeating yourself.

 

Does it work with OpenPLi in flash and NO multiboot. If yes, it's a multiboot issue.If no, it's an OpenPLi issue.

It works with Open-Pli in flash without openmultiboot.  If I download Openmultiboot 1.42  from extensions  and  starts it .. 'omb diseable '  is written on screen.. I think ,it is multiboot problem ..

 Where can I download openmultiboot extension that works  stable  without problem  with Open-Pli image..

I tried openmultiboot 2.5 for all E2 image  in flash. (OPen-Pli 6.1 rc image) Press OK for next image  , OMB disabled  is written on screen.. I want to work OMB in flash..

Pardon .. Open-pli  Works in flash  but to day ,During the openning  extensions .. This message  appared on screen     'Extensions/openwebif(Errno2 ,No such file or directory' '/media/hdd')

Can you help me?  Openwebif does't work ..What can I do?   I enjoy Open-pli...please..

     So do I  ..But I want solution ,I want support ..I want Multiboot  in Open-Pli images .. may be Open-Pli group helps if we repeat it again and again ...İs it so difficult ?

The problem with multiboot solutions is that you mix different linux environments.

 

It is like wanting to installing and boot Ubuntu on your desktop but run Fedora after you booted. It is never going to work. It is a myth that all images are the same, and are interchangable at any level. They are not.

 

The only way to get multiboot working properly is if it is implemented like on a PC, at the bootloader level, where you select a boot device from a menu, and then boot the ENTIRE image from that device.

 

Beside this, we don't see the point for a multiboot solution, we're only interested in OpenPLi, so don't expect any effort from us.

You're always free to make a request ("want"...). That doesn't mean we will always honour it, simple as that. No is also an answer.

That will definitely not help your case, it's annoying.
