Hi,

 

I am using a OpenPli 5 (Taapat for spark 7111 - not updatable anymore). EPGImporter was working well till Dec. In Jan it stopped working, I updated the source to the xz, and now when I manually try to update the epg.dat get stucked to 0 and I cannot stop it, I can only reboot the decoder to make it start again (same behaviour described here -> https://forums.openp...-infinite-loop/ - Blocked in "Importing: Italia - Basic (xz) - 0 Events). I updated the plugin to the last version found in GitHub, but I still have the same problem. Someone can help me please? I attach the log file.

Another small update (if this can help): I just realized the epg.dat is not created. I store this file on an external usb drive. I saw there is a temp file created in /var/volatile/tmp/ and called epgimport.xz . Could be there is not enough space in the decoder? There is a way to change the default directory where this file is saved? I didn't find it in the settings file in /etc/enigma2/. Thank you!

You need to have python-lzma installed too on your box but if you are using an image that no longer provides feeds for plugin it will probably be hard to find a compatible package for your image.

Hi, thank you first of all for the answer. As you said, I cannot install that package with opkg because it doesn't find it in the openpli Taapat source. I have to find a way to install it manually (maybe with an .ipk file?). If you get any idea please tell me!

Yes, I had already found it, but I wanted to leave the change of enigma2 distro as last option (since my iptv list was till now basically working ONLY with Openpli, don't ask me why). If there is no other option I will try this way this weekend and I will give a feedback here.

Tested today: the channels are lagging, I think the process can't more. There is no possibility to reactivate the old gz file? I have only this decoder and I cannot buy another one. I checked and there is a lot of people in this situation on several boards... Could be thought the possibility to leave the service also for the people have an old receiver? Thank you!

PROBLEM SOLVED ON OPENPLI 5.

 

I just took the python-lzma_0.0.8-r0_sh4.ipk I found on another image based on OpenPli 6.1 and installed manually in my old image.

Now everything works perfectly.

Fine this works.

Problem is, taking something from another image and inserting in your image, does not always work.  It is a risk.

But you can always try.  The only thing that can happen that your image is screwed up.

But a new flash will rectify that.

Yes, it was a risk, but actually I had just to try a refresh (was anyway a package for the sh4). Am I allow to post that package if it was taken from another image?

OpenPLi is open source. Anyone is entited to use our source and compile an image. Or create their own image based on OpenPLi.

The only thing they are not allowed to do, is call the resulting image OpenPLi, as that is a trademark of the PLi association. 

 

So I don't have any objection a single package, I prefer that to a link to the image you find it in (which I assume violates the rule mentioned above).

Ok, so here there is the sh4 packages for liblzma5 and python-lzma. I remember again that I tested them only on the OpenPli 5 (Taapat mod for spark 7111).

 

After the installation, the EPGImport will start working again.
