Hi,

Updated to 6.1 on a vu solo 2 and installed Kodi.
The plugin is not working for me.
Am I missing something?

That it is not supported? Afaik it is only supported on the ARM models.

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Ultimate (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

Don't ask me, I don't use it, I don't see the point of it.

Hi,
Kodi is working on all VU boxes starting with the Solo2. On Arm the original has new Kodi version whereas they where stuck with 16.1 on Mips boxes. If you had installed it before it is possible that there are still traces of old settings on you system in hidden directories called .xbmc or .kodi on hard drive and I think /share

Enable debug log or look into /tmp perhaps there are logs which may explain the failure.

btw. are you talking about "Kodi" or "Kodi direct"?

ciao

17.6 kodi running on my solo2.However after installation, very little space remains on the flash memory. And for this we need lot of things to add. There are better plugins than kodi. And much smaller.

I can not make a screenshot, but the start log.

Not trying to complain, but I just want to understand.
How other images are able to install Kodi on a vu solo 2 with the same space.
What trick do they use?

Hi cargen,

after a fresh installation there is more than enough free space for Kodi. Problem is that other plugins increased their size in the last years quite significant. So if you install Kodi, Mediaportal and HbbTV you are almost out of free space. If you now install a few smaller plugins or picons in flash you might run into trouble so make sure that you always have 3-4MB of free flash.

I made it to insall all my favorite plugins but to be able to do this I had to remove unused languages and other things manually which is also not the best solution.

ciao
