Hello i have a problem trying to control my FormulerF3 by Samsung KS7000 both by HDMI-CEC and by Samsung remote. At the same time Samsung works great with GI tuner in plug-and-play manner (10 seconds after connect - and everything is fine).

I`ve got CEC enabled both on TV and FormulerF3 (with built-in cec plugin) - but without any reaction. I`ve tried to manually configure Samsung remote controller - and got no control with any options except when i setup both TV and Formuler to work as Zgemma - then i get a few buttons. Samsung TV seems to know Openbox FormulerF3, i can select it from it`s menu - but remote isn`t working.

How can i solve this problem? Maybe there is known working configuration or some options to change?

You might have to fiddle a bit with the timing settings in the HDMI-CEC menu. But many to no effect, some combinations simply don't work for some odd reason.

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Ultimate (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Did some testing and got Samsung IR controller to work with Formuler when i select Dream Multimedia remote both on TV and tuner, but in this case i`ve lost the use of original remote of course, and some buttons weren`t working as expected like Guide button was working as FAV button (corrected this in hotkey menu). Can i get Formuler IR codes to transmit them to Samsung (they seem to keep them in online database, so an update will not need software update and will be available to all Samsung TVs)?

Any options of HDMI-CEC didn`t worked for me. WanWizard, i see you have a plenty of devices, can you write a config which worked for you? How can i test and find what`s wrong with CEC?

No, I can't, because as I said almost every device behaves differently. Some boxes don't work at all with my TV, some only the basic functions (but for example no volume key forwarding), some work better, some require timing adjustments, etc.

So it is really a combination between a specific box and a specific TV. Switching models from the same manufacturer can already lead to different results. Unfortunately.

Solved problem by changing HDMI cable to brand new high quality 2.0. MAGIC! Now it`s working with every config option. Just found that better to choose tuner power on by power on request from TV.

Still request Formuler F3 IR codes to send them to Samsung, so the tuner will no longer need to simulate Dreambox.
