BTW, you know Travis CI now fails on every push for gcc 4.9 and gcc 5, because of the cppflag C++11 that was added to develop?

Travis CI is not checking for python runtime errors (Although I have it ready on my GitHub fork).
That's not Travis' fault, it's the fault of those ****** interpreted languages. You never know what you're going to end up once the program is started.

Most programme languages have solutions to check them.
The problem with python is that it leaves the result, a pyc, behind, and I haven't found a solution to delete it after a compile.

The problem is that there is no way to make sure all of the code has been seen, ever. For that an explicit syntax checker would be better, but that won't catch all sorts of errors that may occur during runtime. And there are the quasi- and not-quasi self-modifying-code constructs of interpreted languages and the Python people are actually proud of it...

Compiling a python file does do a full syntax check, otherwise you can't compile it. Catching runtime errors at compile time is very complicated, especially if they are logic errors, even C/C++ can't protect you from those. At least Python is typed, and you don't have (in most cases) the same misery that you have with a language like PHP. Although that is moving to a typed language as well.
The only way to be resonably sure is use test driven design, have unit tests and a code coverage analyzer, create your unit tests and define the edge cases of your logic before you start coding.

Hello, I had been away from thi s forum for some time and now...I came back and see it's possible to run Openpli on Raspberry 3??!!! Is it real???
But with DVB support??
If this is true I am the happiest man with a satellite dish on the roof!!! :-) :-)So...can anyone please confirm this great news?
