having issue when building for k2pro

I've used them both but still not working.I'll look deeper tonight and compare them with working one from alexelec or corelec.

Booting at k2pro using my custom kernel and after alot of editing for the openpli image I can see the tuner in the settings 

 

 

unfortunately linkdroid-cnim doesn't multi mode tuner so it's not detecting dvb-s

anyway I can't really edit the configurations anytime I press the configuration to edit I get back to the previous screen

 

@persian prince If you could fix the kernel that is being built I can do more testing , I think the image is being built for s905D processor which the k2pro doesn't have (k2pro has S905 ) and so the kernel doesn't boot for me.

unfortunately I'm new to openembedded an bitbake so I don't really know how to edit things the right way.

 

also I can't build the feeds

looking at /home/oealliancebuilder/openpli-oe-core/sources/bitstream.git I can see that it's an html page so bitbake is downloading https://code.videola...n/bitstream.git as an html and not cloning the repo

I think that in  meta-openpli/recipes-support/bitstream/bitstream.bb

 

we need to change

 

SRC_URI = "git://code.videolan.org/videolan/bitstream.git;protocol=https"

 

to something like

 

 

SRC_URI = "git://code.videolan.org/videolan/bitstream.git;protocol=ssh"

but I haven't tried it and again I know nothing about bitbake

cating my own  config into /proc/bus/nim_sockets I can see the dvb-s tuner but again can't change any config

I think we should wait for @persian prince to update the git repo to build a suitable kernel and then we can work on enigma2

@persianprince we should really have a sperate recipes for mecool devices away from linkdroid kernel and alien5 dtb, also k2pro doesn't need any of the following being built since the device doesn't have these hardware

Yeah that git commit is applied and still I get the same problem, I don't know why but It's being downloaded as html file.

 

k2pro has old and new model, in our sources it's the new model with s905d, more information: https://forums.openp...ndpost&p=897124

We might need to have two configs for the new and old model of k2pro

What's the problem ? I can give you a working config I've already compiled with, note that you need to turn off alot of features to get it to compile since the amlogic team didn't get the dependencies right.

Not really, the mainline kernel is still lacking alot of features, video decoding is one of many, you can see an updated table of features here http://linux-meson.com/doku.php
