I just uploaded a new shell script: https://github.com/P...evelop/image.sh which makes my life easier

 

"image.sh" is not just for 1 machine, it will compile a meta for you, for example if you choose Dreambox it will compile:

• dm500hd
• dm500hdv2
• dm520
• dm7020hd
• dm7020hdv2
• dm7080
• dm800
• dm8000
• dm800se
• dm800sev2
• dm820
• dm900
• dm920

but you can edit it yourself if you just want 1 model

 

It can manage PLi, Vision and Feed so good luck.

Hello! I just flashed a dreambox dm520 homebuild image which I built with my Debian Strech OS with no errors. However an error message appeared during flash process which says boot image is too big and then when I booted the box it shows only openpli homebuild image screen and nothing else,no remote control buttons function. I also flashed pre-built tar.xz file you uploaded on MediaFire for my box and again the same problem. Why this? What's wrong?

Can you telnet to box and do:

init 4
enigma2

Search for error and post here at forum.

O.k! i did as you said and then it shows that: 

PYTHONPATH: /usr/lib/enigma2/python

Then i can see the wizard on tv screen and set up receiver with remote control. But after having finished the process and tried to reboot from menu then it says dreambox dm520 is rebooting and freezes. However i can reboot with telnet and then again use remote control. I should say that on all other images i flashed when the box is re/booting the red light of power button on receiver turns to blue and then i can use remote control. This does not happen with this image!

my remote control for my dreambox 500hd , not work properly,   i mean remote control doesnt respond to commands right away. I need to press same key twice for example., i use remote control of my tv "HDMI CEC" and it's work normal .

Great work, yesterday I tried raspberry pi 3 image, the system booted and discovered DVB-T2 tuner on /dev/dvb dir, but, as I read on meta-pli repository, is needed e2procfs to create nim_socket to show tuner also in enigma2.

The porting, also partial, from amlogic-e2-procfs it's difficult due the different kernel version?

It's seems you openpli-oe-core is out of date.

 

Update with

pli-extras/update.sh

Check for errors, like aborting update due to local changes.
