I have a VU+ Solo 4K. Cable connection via a switch to a Win 10 PC. But now it's disapered from my network in Windows explorer/netrwork. When I type the networkadress in Firefox, it's there. How can I get it back in win-explorer?

Give Microsoft a good kicking. They've disabled netbios broadcast discovery in a recent Win10 update.

You could reverse that (you need to google for that), install Avahi or Bonjour for Windows, wait for the next release of OpenPLi which will contain a workaround for this. Or just accept you can't click, and instead type \\<boxname> or \\<ipaddress> in the explorer bar, and it will open too. Or add a shortcut to the desktop that contains that, so you can click on that.

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Ultimate (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

It is another way also, give up Win 10 and install a Linux version, try a old computer or make a dual boot. Installation takes maximum only 20min (including all software like office, ect) , and you will not regret this, the best time saving minutes ever. Of cause you can have issues but much less and  Samba is working. Her is a nice Linux version https://www.linuxmint.com/  and good luck :)

Not an advice I would give, unless you properly research it first. I've been using linux since the late 90's, and removed all Windows from my PC's and laptops over 6 years ago, but there are still things I can't do without Windows.

And that ranges from stupid tools to flash my firewall and my TomTom update software to my accounting software and Visio (for which I still haven't found a decent alternative).

Also, when you're on Linux, forget about Samba and use NFS instead. ;)

I miss this a lot! As far as I understand, it's not a problem in other images?

I´m not a pro but could it not have to do that Win 10 disabled SMB 1/CIFS.

Had a problem this morning with my apple tv not being able to stream with VLC.

Only change on my Win 10 computer was KB4074588.

After enabling SMB 1 under Control panel /windows features it works again and I can also see my two DM

Quite possible, in which case you need to specify "vers=2.0" (without the quotes) in the mount options, to mount using SMBv2.

OK, where can I find that in control panel?

Don't do that if it is not needed, it isn't disabled for nothing, it is a security risk. And the box has no issue with SMBv2, you only need to tell it to use it, as I wrote.
