Excellent.
I will wait for results.

and while we're at it - I think there may be another issue with autotimer. If you modify a timer which is deactivated, do you by any chance reactivate them ?

As far as I can see, the autotimer can not activate the timer again.
He creates a new one.
Add a special tag to the deactivated timer and then check.

P.S.And thank you.

after 2 consecutive runs it's still looking good - I see no "double" timers for the next 3 days - I'll keep my eye on it but I think you can push this modification to the feeds.

as for the timers re-activation, not sure yet, could have been newly created "double" timers, giving the impression that a de-activated timer was re-activated again.

I'll give another update after the weekend.

I already prepared a big patch.
1) Improved the logic of checking the existing timers.
2)...

Would be cool if that would be ready before 6.2-release so it can be included. ;)

OK - checked the timerlist again - by now all of the timers have been set by the modified autotimer script.

result : no more double timer entries to be found !

good job, dimitrij

Yes. But they won't be available until 6.2-release, due to the depencies it has with Enigma.

and what's the big change ?

I'm asking as I went back from PLI 6 to PLI 4 as I was noticing problems with my db8000 with PLI6 (slowness, 2-3 blockages and/or reboots a week) - probably due to the lack of internal memory.

I'm quite happy as my system is now (even better after your last changes) so I'm not inclined to move to PLI 6.

so what will I be missing ?

The discussion in this topic is about duplicate timer detection when a programme is updated in the EPG (i.e. starts sooner or later).

The Enigma dependency I mentioned is about additional selection criteria (end of title, etc), which requires an up-to-date Enigma ( = newer than in 6.1-release).
