What is your NAS server? Has it had a security upgrade to disable SMBv1 by any chance?

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Ultimate (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

Nas server

DS412+

DSM 6.1.5-15254

Update 12018/02/26

The last time I recorded was 25/3
so nothing has happened to the server since then

If I use openwebif and change:
Location: from default
to
Location: / hdd / movie

So it works.

Is there a place where I can set the hdd placement.

I can easily access all my shares have 5 pieces.

this problem is valid for my two vu + one Vu + Solo SE and Vu + Solo²

The Samba vulnerability that disabled SMB v1 was fixed in DSM 6.1.5-15254, which was released on January 31st. You can check if SMBv1 is disabled via:

Synology-SMB2-01.png

Synology-SMB2-02.png

If the minumum version is indeed set to SMBv2, you need to change

 <Options> rw </ options>

to

 <Options> rw,vers=2.0,cache=none </ options>

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Ultimate (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Set the maximum to SMB2 or SMB3, now you block clients that don't want to use SMBv1.

Can you please guide me?
How do I do which commands should I write I use dcc 2.7
Normally I have just made mount via the interface in the user menu. and when I have made a new update of my VU + I have just copied automount.xml over and it has always worked. but not now.

What's strange is that I can see and play everything in my network share, but I can not record / save in the folder that's set up for HDD replacement, but the movies I have in that folder can I easily play ..

the mystery continues

share the result of

mount -a

Mounting through the network wizzard never worked well for me with Win7-10

I use fstab for it and works every time.. once you share the above I can provide you with line to add the /etc/fstab

it seems OK so maybe the SMB version issue or the mount location issue

unmount via menager

create NAS folder with the below command

mkdir /hdd/movie/NAS/video

and add the below to /etc/fstab as per example

//192.168.1.2/video /hdd/movie/NAS/video               cifs       rw,username=XXX,password=XXX,_netdev            0  0

reboot the tuner and see if can write on it

The mounts are all ok, and all rw.

So if you can read but can't write, it's a security configuration on the NAS that is not correct.
