A number of new KodiLite 4.0 addons (such as filmon, tvplayer, itv and some adult addons) require Streamlink. As users have requested for the install method - I describe it below and attach the necessary files.

 

Streamlink is a python package successor to Livestreamer - which is very useful for playing iptv links with KodiLite. Streamlink installation includes serviceapp and exteplayer3. Therefore KodiLite then can play links additional to those in Streamlink supported sites.

Streamlink install method (should work with openpli 6.1, openatv and openhdf images or similar):-

Download the following items from the attached below - and ftp those to /tmp :-

python-iso3166_0.8_all.ipk
python-iso639_0.4.5_all.ipk
python-websocket_0.44.0_all.ipk
futures-2.1.6-r0__all (4).ipk
singledispatch-3.4.0.3-r0 (5).ipk
python-streamlink_0.11.0.r0_mod_all.ipk
streamlinksrv_1.0.1_all.ipk

Then do telnet commands :-

opkg update
opkg --force-overwrite install /tmp/*.ipk > /tmp/slinst.txt 2>&1 &

Check in file /tmp/slinst.txt that the items installed ok (see slinst.txt attached). Then do telnet command :-

opkg install enigma2-plugin-systemplugins-serviceapp

and, for openpli or images which do not show correct date , do telnet command :-

opkg install enigma2-plugin-systemplugins-systemtime

Restart the box, after rebooting - under System/Systemtime set Sync time using 'NTP' and sync now with NTP server 'OK'. Then select 'Save' (green button) and exit.

Now you are ready to test the KodiLite addons requiring Streamlink.

@pcd - Thank you very much for posting these instructions.

 

We have installed streamlink and have been able to use all your new

addons in KodiLite.

 

All of the recent additions, filmon, tvplayer, chaturbate, cam 4 and itv catch up

work flawlessly and we thank you for adding these addons as well as all files

required for streamlink - which is a must-have!!!

I have a problem with streamlink on VU + Ultimo4k. Everything works as normal but after some time watching channels from the nc + card and then when I switch to the list of IPTV channels I noticed, channels from some plugins do not work (eg Youtube, czeskatelevize.cz, etc.). It only helps to fully restart the tuner and then works again for some time. How can I make streamlink work all the time? Please help.

In IptvStreamlink I added tvcanli.py and in IptvStreamlinkXXX adulttv.py. These two plugins are not in streamlink. Also new plugin tvp.py by remek is here - https://ufile.io/cphcd

Bro pcd, do you have a tutorial for making our own plugin?

There is no tutorial - but in my experience these are the general rules for making a streamlink plugin :-

 

(1) Find links which do not change - for example : https://www.filmon.com/tv/bbc-one

(2) Find a scraping method that gets the playable url - for example for bbc-one :  https://edge-1165-ch...777c09240f2ca5b

(3) To be suitable for a streamlink plugin (this is important) the scraping method must include only one determination of the webpage source (usually via urllib2.urlopen). If you have to do that twice - the plugin will be too slow and may not show the stream.

(4) Finally, put the plugin in the streamlink/plugins folder and use the attached sltest.py to test a link. To run it do these commands :-

cd /usr/lib/enigma2/python

python sltest.py > /tmp/sl.txt 2>&1 &
