Hello,

I am new here and I already start with a doubt :)

So I am trying to setup EPG on a Vu+Zero with OI 3.0 from 26/03/2018.

I ended up managing to install EPGImport, created a custom IPTV channel list (currently only 1 channel for debug purposes) and associated the correspondent XMLTV xz source.

When I manually download EPG (yellow button) it creates the correct new_epg.xml in the /tmp/ folder, and the data is for sure the same I'm using in the channel list.

The box then asks to restart the dvbapp2 service, but it never loads the EPG info into the box.

Also, according to https://forums.openp...d-xmltv-import/

subtopic: * No epg is imported after the box comes out of deepstandby.

I installed the ntpdate package and am calling it in the enigma2.sh script.

Some strange behaviour in /etc/enigma2/settings,

Everytime the box restarts, I end up with a default config:

config.misc.epgcache_filename=/usr/crossepg/data/epg.dat

So to clear the culprit I ended up copying /tmp/new_epg.dat into /usr/crossepg/data/epg.dat, but still no success!

As of now I'm a bit lost and feel the solution is very close...

Well, I guess the worst part of downloading the correct epg is done :)

Where should I start looking for the issue?

Regards.

What is OI 3.0?

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Ultimate (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

Channels have a unique service reference, and this reference is used to link the EPG data to the correct channel. So first port of call is to check the service reference of your test bouquet entry.

Channels have a unique service reference, and this reference is used to link the EPG data to the correct channel. So first port of call is to check the service reference of your test bouquet entry.

I copied the reference from the bouquet directly into the channel import list.

<channels>

1:0:1:32B:24:36:CE40000:0:0:0:http%3a//192.168.1.200%3a8001/1%3a0%3a1%3a32B%3a24%3a36%3aCE40000%3a0%3a0%3a0:RTP 1

</channels>
Then I associated the sources to this list:

<sources>
<sourcecat sourcecatname="Test Rytec Portugal XMLTV (xz version)">

Test Portugal (xz)

</sourcecat>
</sources>

Should this be enough for the box to restart and load the EPG file while knowing where to put the info?

Please, if I break any forum rules feel free to block the content!

Thanks

Start with obtaining the EPGimport.log pls.

(see the FAQ's on how to obtain it).

Willy

After the import process (It asks to restart the dvbapp2) I only have this in the log:

[EPGImport] autostart (0) occured at 1523460081.62
[EPGImport] autostart (0) occured at 1523460081.93
[EPGImport] WakeUpTime now set to 1523506808 (now=1523460081)

If I do it during the import process before restarting:

Spoiler

All those Unknown channels is supposed to happen since I'm trying the EPG with a single one (rtp1.pt) so I can then later enlarge the list if everything's working (1 step at a time :) ).

OK. The log shows me that the mechanics of EPGimport works, and you actually use the desired files.

So, we do have to guess about that.

Also rpt1.pt is not among the missing channels. There has been import of data.

Unfortunally, I still cannot tell what is wrong:

Try changing this:

<channels>

1:0:1:32B:24:36:CE40000:0:0:0:http%3a//192.168.1.200%3a8001/1%3a0%3a1%3a32B%3a24%3a36%3aCE40000%3a0%3a0%3a0:RTP 1

</channels>

into

<channels>

1:0:1:32B:24:36:CE40000:0:0:0:http%3a//example.com

</channels>

Secondly are you absolutely sure the channel in the bouquet file has this service ref (1:0:1:32B:24:36:CE40000:0:0:0:)

Thirdly: In the settings of the EPimport when trying to import EPG for IPTV, you should not use the setting of importing only EPG for channels in bouquets. Set this to NO pls.

By setting this to Yes, you force to compare the service ref in the channels to be compared to the service ref in the bouquet file, and they have to be an exact match. And this comparison check has been written before IPTV channels became common. Needless to say the check fails here.
